Great cup of coffee very friendly staff and a pleasure to in or out surrounded by lovely plants. Food looks good too.
The garden centre around has so much more than it used too. The improvements that have been made are good. Staff here are full of information to help you get the right plants. Thanks 😊 looking forward to returning.
So much more than i was expecting. The food was a lot more than just cafe food, freshly prepared and delicious, my pizza was one of the best I've ever had.
Loved that we were offered hot water bottles of we wanted them.
The place is gorgeous and it's lovely to wander over the bridges and watch the fish, it does feel like a jungle.
Super place to have a bite to eat while shopping for plants. The coffee is exceptional and the food is simple but well done. I'd recommend going in the spring though when it is not too hot as the indoor seating feels like being in a sauna.
Same as my 1st review on 'The Urban Jungle' itself...with added Tranquil...Stunning 'Sharks' (ha ha) to walk over...Biggest Koi I have ever seen!!!
Perfect cuppa too!
Staff suit my reviews to, they are constantly busy and, will make time to help you pretty much straightaway!!!
The lady on the till was lovely and helpful and the food was awesome.
I had a sweet potato curry. (Which I usually don't like) and the cakes was yummy.
Just wish I didn't feel like my family was being rushed for a table though because people was standing there staring at us as we waited for a table!
Went to Urban Jungle again to buy a blue spruce tree. After choosing one we went for a coffee and cake in the café. It was scrummy and afterwards we ended up buying a huge tree fern too!
They must put something in the coffee 🤣🤣🤣.
Excellent cafe and tropical garden centre. Lovely area for cafe amongst the plants and fish.
Urban Jungle is a lovely garden centre with some amazing plants, shrubs and trees available for sale. It is not the usual type of 'modern' garden centre that sells just about everything, rather a more traditional one, concentrating on things to plant.
First things first, for wheelchair users this place is a nightmare, gravel everywhere + in the café you have to contend with very narrow doorways, metal thresholds sticking out of the floor and steps. This is a real shame, but if you have wide tyres, forgiving castors and someone to assist, it is definitely worth a visit to the cafe, although you will not be able to gain access to all areas. The other downside is that the toilet facilities are of the traditional builders blue porta potty type located at the end of a long gravel drive that is separate from the cafe.
The cafe is housed within an insulated greenhouse that is filled with a rather spectacular array of plantings, within which are nestled a hodgepodge of tables, chairs and sofas. One of my photos shows the menu, but there are also specials available and the cakes are amazing, bearing in mind that they cater for a wide variety of food allergies and intolerances.
The highlight for me was the 'river' running in the café that has some really impressively sized Koi and what I suspect to be a sturgeon swimming in it. There are a couple of bridges crossing over it which would give a wonderful view, but the bridge I could reach had a step up so without help those wheelchair bound and without assistance will not get to see this aspect.
This is something unique and beautiful. The sound of water is so soothing. They even brought a complementary glass of water with the coffee.
A decent place for a coffee and cake, but there are better garden centre cafes around. Nice location though, especially with the giant fish pond
