Delighted with our purchase from John Lewis Norwich. We just spent 2 hours with a very patient and professional JL Partner in the Bed Department. Sincere thanks to Ian Hopkins who shared his knowledge and guided us to make a sensibly priced purchase that really suited us for our needs. Excellent service as always, not pushy just purely professional. Phil
Have always loved John Lewis and it is a treat to come into the city and browse the store. They've upped their game in the Place to Eat with some great new seasonal cakes on offer. Love the kitchen section too. Not quite 5* though, because I was taken aback to see a dog sniffing and poking around the Christmas foods, out on shelves down to floor level. Owner did nothing to stop them. Imo JL should reverse their policy of allowing customer's to bring their pets in.
Tom was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when we came in to buy a new car seat, we needed the next stage up and Tom was able to talk us through what we needed with excellent health and safely knowledge. Definitely recommend.
Always come here first for electricals and home furnishings. Always very clean, super professional staff and a great range of products. Esp if I'm looking for something extra special e.g. Mother's Day/birthday cards or presents.
Update 28.08.2021 - the place to eat is open. Limited hot food menu but a large selection of cakes.
03.05.2022 Place to Eat is back to normal (cutlery, napkins and water), lots of summer picnic, BBQ, Al fresco dining and outdoor lighting. Eid display is very pretty.
Home Storage is downstairs in the basement. Dogs still allowed.
28.06.2022 Mammoth is on Mezinne floor. Also have a colouring table. Small Dino in the basement.
Arrived in Norwich for an overnight stay, forgot my make up bag, not an issue, called to see Tanya, Bare Minerals and Tara, Clarins, they were so good, sat me down and applied the full make up experience, we had such fun, what a great advert for John Lewis these gals are, thank you so much ladies, Jenny
Lovely shop, and great to see it busy today.
Very friendly staff and a great car park, reduced prices if you purchased something in the shop.
This is a review of the cafe within John Lewis.
A delicious slice of rhubarb and custard cake, with a nice flat white. The cake tasted just like the sweets, incredible!
There was plenty of seating, and there were a number of serving stations open, so we were served quickly.
Love that shop and often go there for all sorts of things!
I bought my curtains here. The lady working at this section was really friendly and helpful. She explained everything and cut the curtains for me to the right measure. I finished sewing them yesterday and they look fabulous. Thank you. I definitely recommend this store to everyone.
Always a pleasure.
Thursday evenings at the store are great. Much less busy, although the staff were a tiny bit too attentive - within the space of 5 minutes we were asked if we needed any help by 3 different members of staff.
Cafe is always worth a visit. Coffee is excellent and reasonably priced. Cakes are very good too, but less appealing from the perspective of price.
