Myself and my financee always have an excellent meal whenever we visit The Fieldfare. As pub grub goes, this is one of the best. Delicious hot food and super friendly staff especially Michael, who goes out of his way for his customers. We were very well attended to tonight, given my partner is gluten and diary free by The Manager who checked our food was 100%. Well done Fieldfare, keep up the good work.

Been coming here for a while as hungry horse do the biggest portions and best value for money. Staff are always very friendly and have never had any issues in all my visits. Great tasting food, regular menu updates. Best and biggest mixed grill out of anywhere. Only negative which is the same over all hungry horse restaurants is if you ask for a large coke, they never fill to the top and always about 2 inches from the top of the glass.

I have a stomach issue and wanted to take half my food home as it was good food but I couldn't eat it all at the time. Had an absolute nightmare when asking for a takeaway container and ended up having to tell my embarrassing story just to get one and was then told to hide it so the wait staff didn't get in trouble. Felt kinda weird.......

When we visited it was a quieter period and food service was just coming to an end, but we were asked if we wanted to order any before the menus were removed and the kitchen was shut. A nice selection of drinks (especially if you like fruity ciders), and at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly enough, and efficient, although it is a bugbear of mine when customer facing staff answer the phone when they have customers physically in front of them. I understand the reasoning, I just don't like it. The place was clean, but looks a little unloved now with peeling wallpaper and could probably do with a spruce up. Having said that, I would definitely go again and sample the menu.

Food was excellent and well cooked. My steak was cooked perfectly. The sticky toffee and bourbon pudding was to die for. Staff very friendly and helpful with regards to my sister needing gluten free food. My sister was very pleased with the amount of choices she had on the gluten free menu as a lot of places she has been to have a very limited choice. Will definitely come back next time I visit Norwich
