We dropped in last weekend for first time. Very friendly people and environment. Very dog friendly. Had a great coffee and even greater bacon stacked cob, and yes, the dog agrees with me. We’ll definitely be going back. (We are all cyclist friendly. Might not be the place to go if your not).
Cycling from Nottingham hom when I chanced upon Velo Verde. I have visited here before but just happened upon it today in time for a seemingly bottomless teapot and lovely sausage. Warm cafe matched the welcome from the staff, a true cyclists cafe but anyone would enjoy this relaxed place
Large selection of coffees (with alternative milks), fantastic range of breakfasts, and a really lovely team in the picturesque village of screveton. Highly recommended!!!
Great place to relax and have a drink. Nice Americano and range of cakes on offer. Staff friendly and atmosphere welcoming
Very welcoming staff with delicious coffee and the best bacon cob around! Beautiful farm setting & dogs welcome too.
You must go! Delicious oat flat white and bacon sandwich, lovely staff - So welcoming and friendly! Even sang us happy birthday for mums birthday!
The Vale of Belvoir Cycling Clubs Friday Ladies group has voted Caffe Velo Verde our Cafe of the year 2019.
We visit many Cafes, Pub's and Tea Rooms in the Vale of Belvoir and this was voted the best.
I decided to take my family for the first time and introduce them to the pancakes!!
I was able to message and reserve a table and Paul kindly arranged the reservation . He replied swiftly and on arrival was met with a plaque on the table as promised, very impressed!!
Food was fab along with the coffee
Thanks again for arranging
We came to on a recommendation from family and I’m so glad we did! The selection of food and drinks is perfect for a pit stop and can see why it’s a great place for cyclists. We have a fidgety toddler and found that there was no need to worry about muddy shoes. The staff are top notch and friendly, especially Alex who was happy to see us 2 days in a row.
You HAVE TO try the Mulled Apple Cake!!
Was unexpectedly recommended to visit Caffe Velo Verde, so constructed a 100km loop to take it in on a chilly but beautifully clear November morning. it turned into more of a 'avoid the mud, potholes and puddles' kind of ride, so arriving at the cafe was a flipping godsend...
I couldn't believe how busy it was when I got there (always a good sign), and the welcome from the staff was friendly and genuine.
Having told them it was my first visit, one of them insisted on showing me around - there's even a spot to charge your phone/Garmin. Very cyclist-friendly, great coffee and bacon roll (I think it was merely 'legendary', whereas the sausage roll was 'award-winning' - I'll have that next time), and that granola flapjack had some heft to it...
Brilliant place, will be going back.
Utterly brilliant, great people, great venue great coffee & the best porridge you’ll ever have - fact
Arrived on Sunday morning after a couple of hours cycling at 1degree C. Excellent bacon rolls and coffee. Very friendly and welcoming. Not too busy due to early arrival and the temperature but well worth calling in. Cyclists very welcome. I will definitely go back ( even if it is an extra 10 miles of cycling)
First time visit today as starting point for a cycle. Owner gave us local knowledge & helped with route. Great atmosphere & clearly & strong community.
Stopped again after the ride & both the granola bar & soup were excellent.
Will definitely be visiting frequently from now on!
After cycling with a group of ladies, trying to avoid the floods, we made an impromtu stop at Caffe Velo Verde.
They are so welcoming and their Social Table is perfect for a large group.
I had the Roasted Red Pepper and Sweet Potato soup, it was delicious and so warming, just what I needed!
Their coffee is great, and made extra special with their little cycling logo on my Cappuccino.
We stopped here on recommendation from a friend!
Plenty of bike parking and space inside.
We only had coffee and cakes so nothing from the menu but we’ll be back to try the bacon soon 👌🏼
Since my first visit I had been excited to return and try another bacon roll and it certainly did not disappoint! We love this cafe- the owners and staff are wonderfully kind and welcoming, and it has such a warm atmosphere thanks to them. Highly recommend!!
My first visit to Caffe Velo Verde and I was immediately struck by the warm and friendly atmosphere. It felt like I had just come off a ski slope with a buzz of happy customers enjoying their refreshment and rest. The food and drink was served quickly despite it being busy and other customers were happy to budge up on the social table to let us sit down and chat with them. The owner Paul was present and making sure everyone was looked after and enjoying the experience. I will be back soon. Caffe Velo Verde is a great reason to get on your bike and ride to Screveton, Notts.
Lovely welcome, amazing bacon bap’s and fabulous granola. Good tea and coffee, First class food and lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend a trip out here. Will become a regular haunt.
Despite the pretty awful weather, some hardy souls of the Sleaford All-Knighter Scooter Club braved the elements fro a breakfast run to Caffe Velo Verde.
Paul and Jane were most welcoming having set aside a large "social table" for our use.
Staff were on hand to mop the floor as the brave and somewhat soggy riders divested themselves of layers and layer of wet clothes and gloves.
Hearty breakfasts, reviving coffee and amazing fruit/granola flap jack cake thing to finish off.
We will be back, in bigger numbers, so thank you.
