Centrally located and one of the best Indian Restaurants in Nottingham. The ambience is nice. Plenty of food options - I would suggest the chaat and butter chicken. Could improve with the quantity though.
Tamatanga is one of best Indian Restaurants in Nottingham. Also, it’s located in city.
They have a good staff and good food.
My personal favourite dishes are:-
• Garlic chicken tikka for starters
• Saag paneer or Bhindi do pyaza for my main course.
The best part of curry bowls are it comes along with our choice of naan or rice.
•My super favourite is Chilli cheese naan ❤️
• Pistachio lassi.
It’s a must try place!
One of the most authentic Indian places in Nottingham. This place has a collection of dishes to offer - starters, chat, curries, thalis. It’s not too expensive and definitely worth a try!
Tamatanga is constantly amazing. They have a great atmosphere, great staff and great food. I can't recommend highly enough. Visit this once and you will keep coming back again and again.
Nice and Welcoming place in Nottingham. Friendly staff and Prompt service. No rush or queues..
quality: Good
Quantity: Serves 2 persons
Ambience: Good and well maintained
Highlights: Garlic naans, Railway Mutton Madras, Garlic Chilli chicken
Lowlights: Nothing as such..
One of the finest Indian food is served here. Located in the heart of the city, very easily approachable. Me and my friend, we ordered thaali because that's what is largely famous about this place. And believe it or not, they perfected the Indian taste. That butter paneer was to die for and the naan were as soft as cotton. Could easily compete with any good restaurant in India.
On the downside, I didn't like their ambience much. It seems like they have just put tables in a huge room without giving decor a thought. And don't fall for their £7.5 a meal before 6pm. They will charge you extra. Hidden costs involved.
One of the best ways to identify a good restaurant is by having Bhendi Masala, because this is the one where not just the quality of the masala, but the okra vegetable also matters a lot. I went here accidentally, and risked ordering bhendi masala, but eventually paid off, as it was amazing, with okra having very less roughage and cook optimally with a good combination of spices too. After this, I have been there couple more times, and even though the taste isnt perfectly consistent, they are way better than some of the 5 star restaurants in India itself. Anyways, leaving apart a bit of exaggeration, this is a very nice place with nice ambiance and good service. I have heard not so great reviews from my non-veg friends, but if you are fan of veg food, this is a good place!!!

Ottimo fast food indiano nel centro di Nottingham! Personale gentile e posti a sedere all'aperto in Trinity Square. Prezzi contenuti, buon rapporto qualità prezzo.
My first outing in Nottingham and I landed to a place where Indian food is served ! Though throughout Notts you will not find Indian food well as this place serves, this outlet is a gem for Indians. Luscious Indian taste of Paneer Makhni and Butter chicken, gravy is so pure that you will fall in love as soon as you sip in the curry. We had the aforesaid items along with naan and rice, this place is fine in terms of cost, and ambiance is also superb! Must try!
Been here a good amount of times and have always received good service and amazing food. The cuisine is urban Indian and has such a lovely variety of dishes. My most favorite meal has to b the chicken biryani and second best have to be both the paapdi chaat and prawn tempura. The curries are just special as they cater for both spice and non-spice lovers. The deserts are divine yet light on the tummy 😍. The ambience is elegant yet lively and warm. Really miss this place and their food! Its a definite go to any time of the day!!!
Great place and brilliant food and service. We were greeted at the door with a smile and very friendly manager. Isabel who was our waiting staff was very friendly and helpful and the service was outstanding. Loved the food and great portions too. Food is prepared fresh and very tasty. The chips (masala) are very very tasty, loved it 👍 We will definitely be back. I will highly recommend Tamatanga (Nottingham branch). Thank you

Friendly staff , food, the price, so good regarding for the quality of the food I deserve to try for me. Sure I will try it again. My recommendation is chicken biryani and Punjabi butter chicken .
Also the portion is good for 2 person
Daisy B was a lovely person. Took our order quickly. Checked we were throughout. The food is fresh and tastes good. The cheese naan are the best. Will be back. Thank you!
Went here for the first time with the family. The food and the non alcohol drink were really good, the ambience was nice, warm and the place was buzzing and lively. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you booked online you had to put your bank card details as a guarantee in case of no-show and they would charge your card £10 per person.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks and food both came to our table well presented and very quickly. The quality of the food is superb. The place is clean and has great decor. You're made to feel welcome and I cannot recommend the place enough.
Very nice and authentic Indian dishes. Such a lovely atmosphere and surrounding and even the decorations at the restrooms are quite cool. They are doing lunch deal during weekdays which is only 12£ pp for one main dish and a drink. Also if you use tamatanga app, you can start collecting the points and they give you back free vouchers back.
Excellent vegetarian options with elegant Interiors and lots of seating. The service was also prompt and excellent. ( Thanks Rhea ). The Daal Makhani was delicious and so wss the veg biryani and tandoori roti. The Peshawari Naan was too sweet! However a great place and will definitely visit again
Before even walking out the door, we’ve decided that we will be returning to dine here again…
Service was really great, with friendly and attentive staff who gave regular check backs and were very knowledgable on there menu.
The menu had an excellent choice and also sharing plates of which we ordered. A wide different dishes and foods with plenty to choose from.
The food came out extremely quickly, bearing in mind it was a slightly busy Monday evening. And the overall atmosphere of the place was bright and colourful without being too loud and boisterous. We will definitely be returning.
The food here is absolutely incredible. We both had the Thali and the portions are enormous and packed with flavour! The coolers are the best we’ve ever had and you get almost 3 glasses worth with each one. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind, and the atmosphere and aesthetics are very cool. Highly highly recommend. We’re coming back in 2 days we love it that much.
We’ve been coming to Tamas for around 5 years and it’s never let us down. The staff are great and the food is cooked to order so comes out piping hot every time and is just beautiful every time (apart from when they we’re trying out new meats from a new supplier). We’ve recommended it to all our family and friends and will continue coming back 🤍
