Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem - Nottingham - Photo album

My husband said that this is the highlights on our trip to Nottingham. We will definitely comeback here! The pub is actually a cave which is amazing and the foods are fantastic. It was quite busy when we dine here but the service was still quick. I recommend advance booking as I think this pub is al
Nice old pub with plenty of history. Won’t be disappointed worth a visit. Food you get what you pay for. The pub itself is very fascinating and also has great architecture along with many parts telling a thousand stories. Great spot for Bikers I found too.
Brilliant, ancient pub in centre of Nottingham. It’s apparently the oldest inn in England (doesn’t offer room’s anymore unfortunately) it’s a green king pub (wranglings over the upkeep of building and fallings out) but you wouldn’t know, it’s got more of a free house vibe. Lots of rooms to explore.
Stunning pub with an enormously rich heritage, built into the foundation Nottingham Castle. Gets quite busy, but has a large terrace in front for extra space. Food options were limited on the day we went, and the food was just ok. It's a small space, which I think slowed down service as well
Established in 1189, the pub rests against Castle Rock, upon which Nottingham Castle is built, and is attached to several caves, carved out of the soft sandstone. These were reputedly originally used as a brewhouse for the castle, dating from the medieval period. This is a Greene King owned and oper
The pub is very old and characteristic. It was built inside the caves and it's stunning inside. We had a typical British lunch: fish&chips, mac and cheese and steak pie as per pisctures attached. Plus 3 beers we have paid 50 quid. Very cozy and relaxing. Definitely a must in Nottingham.
What an amazing place, so much history yet still hold a good old fashioned bar feel to it. Small quirky rooms, loads of history to look at and an amazing back drop. Try the Henry Weston’s !! Although only have one pint or you’ll talk gibbbbberish and walk like a drunken Love it !!!
You definitely have to visit if you're in Nottingham. Have a walk around, take photos and do have a drink (maybe a bite too, like I did 😂.. And oh the chicken sharer was nice). The tables have numbers on them and that's what you order to, from the till. Oh, this place is popular so you might find
Beyond the staggering gravity of having drank and eaten at an establishment with such length and depth of history, the food was nothing short of spectacular. I would drive hundreds of miles on my next trip for the food alone. Any criticism of the meals received and begrudgingly shared would be petty
We didn't eat here, we were rekindling a trip down memory lane. It didn't disappoint. As the oldest pub in England set into the caves of in the wall of the castle. Great old pub
Came to eat here as it’s the start of the Nottingham Ghost Walk. So glad we did, great atmosphere, fantastic, hard working team and lovely food. Great start to the ghost walk. Also the oldest pub in England and served the Crusaders before going to Jerusalem. Well worth a visit, butted up against the
Easy to park & get about for disabled, lovely, helpful & informative staff, husband says the beer is excellent & the food looked great too! No cash transactions, smallish loo, ground floor is fully accessible but rooms are built into the rock of Nottingham Castle & used to be prison cells, so smalli
It was lovely - the bar itself, the history, the location, and the service. We enjoyed the food while sitting under the shade of a large tree just outside the house and taking in the atmosphere. One thing though: we don’t really recommend their steak. It was too tough.
What a beautiful place.. staff were all amazing and the food was outstanding.. made my birthday a day to remember!
A neat little pub which can get very busy. We sat inside, had a few beers and the chicken sharing plate which was delicious. A little bit dark as we sat in the caves section, but overall a great place. Would highly recommend 👌
Brilliant! More: This is the most atmospheric, fascinating pub I can remember visiting in the last decade. The building, the exterior situation, the curio packed multi level interior, the excellent kept, eclectic range of beers, the hoop and horn game, the pristine loos and oh the history of it all!
This is a must-visit historic pub cut into the Nottingham Castle rock. Inside it is a classic British pub with quirky rooms, but as to be expected with the age, quite dark and dingey.
Lovely little Inn. Had squid and was amazing. Cider and spritz for the wife was tasty and cold. Could do with some music out side as the sun was out but was still a good atmosphere. Would come back again.
Great little Inn, built into the rock face under the Castle grounds. Full of weird and wonderful memorabilia. Located at the foot of Nottingham castle this little Inn is jam packed with history. We stopped for some light refreshments and a nosey round the many rooms and floors within. Highly recomm
