We had a lovely carvery on Sunday. The place was pretty busy but we were able to get a table for a birthday meal. The meat was nicely cooked and there was a good selection of pork, ham, turkey and beef. There was a better than usual selection of vegetables too. Recommended

We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. We both had turkey, and we were the first in the queue. The turkey was dry, tough and pink, so couldn't eat it. The vegetables were good though. The service was good. It's a shame that the food wasn't as good as it has been in the past. This place used

Have stopped here many times and always feel welcome and settled upon arrival. The team are great, and the pub itself is very warm, welcoming and perfect on a cold day or evening.

Lovely old pub, but being old was probably hard to heat as not very warm in there. After meal we sat near the open fire which hadn't been tended to, wanted to stay longer but wanted to go home to get warm. The sandwich we shared (brie and grape) was nice as were the chips but it was garnished with a piece of limp water cress which kind of spoilt the look of the spread. Apart from that we enjoyed our snack.

Went for the Sunday carvery. They had four meats on (beef, turkey, pork, gammon) plus a large selection of sides you can pile high on your plate. The chipolatas and onion were especially good. Meats were all tasty and cooked perfectly.

Lovely mid week carvery. Staff were lovely but slightly overrun so a little slow. Still really enjoyed it and will definitely be going back
