A fantastic ethos and the most incredible selection of treats ; recently tried the sourdough scone with marmalade and honestly the most delicious I've had in years. Wish it was closer to me, I would visit every single day

This place is perfect! I could stay here forever. The bakery serves delicious treats, the coffee is amazing, and the staff are all incredible. The art, books, big windows, and serene atmosphere make it so inviting. I've already toured this place three times in one day and still want to explore more; there's just so much to see!

Best sourdough bread in Nottingham! Bought one made with organic wholemeal flour milled to 90%. Very decent 1kg loaf with lots of air captured in it - lasted us 3 days so far (kept wrapped) without going stale and solid. Tastes so good too - enough of that authentic sourdough taste without being over-powering. Worth the price of £4.50 compared to a Beeston bakery sourdough at £3.80 but for only 700g loaf that has less air in and went solid after 3 days. See comparison in photos

SFB is a great-bread beacon that beams so brightly! Everything they bake, from their satisfying and flavoursome breads to their indulgent and luxurious pastries, epitomise the care they take with their ingredients, and the high regard that they have for their suppliers. I love this. I have huge admiration for the SFB team of dedicated true artisans working tirelessly to produce bread of such high quality. I thank them all for my modest purchases, and I look forward to being able to sit at a table, sip a coffee and wallow in the heady pleasures of baking bread!!!!

Since it is gaining lot of admiration for great quality and variety, we thought of popping in to find out. And we were not disappointed and true to it's reviews, the bakery had some excellent products all freshly baked. The lovely treats were flying of the shelves as it was lunchtime but we got their just in time to enjoy their delicious vegetarian pizzas featured in the photos. We also had some great filter coffee too, a delicious Christmas blend. Apart from freshly baked breads, they also had some delightful jams and quirky chutneys on sale. And not to forget the yummy cakes, bars, buns. Mostly people were ordering takeaways but we sat down in their cosy little area which is filled with books for you to read while waiting. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, friendly staff and intend to go back to try more of their products.

This place is just amazing. Obviously the bread and pastries are stunning, but it's the people. From Kim the owner to the rest of the team. Their passion for clean honest food is genuine. Really makes you think about your loaf of kingsmill bread. The courses they do are truly fantastic too. I've done one. Wish I could get here more often.
