Wanted a dine in Chinese and after a quick Google search I came across this one. The reviews were good so we thought we'd give it a try. The restaurant was very clean albeit a bit dated and we were greeted and seated promptly. Went for the set meal for 2 for £40 and it was very very nice! A nice chicken broth starter followed by sweet and sour chicken, beef in black bean, spicy pork and special rice. We both loved it and just the right size as it all went and both full. Definitely recommend 💯
We went for the Sunday buffet at my daughters request. Probably will the last time to be honest. The staff are lovely, the food is fairly limited but its hot, fresh and tasty but nothing special. They class anyone over 10 years old as an adult so at £17.50 for an adult a basic lunchtime buffet for a family of 4 (1 13year old & 1 15 year old) gets quite pricey.
Excellent service, with all the staff being attentive and polite. We had a selection of dishes, and all were delicious. Great atmosphere, but a little noisy if you want an intimate evening.
Just eaten here for the first time this evening. Came here after a recommendation from a friend. Glad we did. Food quality was excellent, portion size far more than enough and the waiter service was friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was friendly and family based. Price was good value for what we had. We will definitely eat here again.
Over 25 years we have been coming here. The food is always of a high standard but the very best thing is the service. The staff (big shout out to Eddie) have made my son feel special since the age of 3, he's now 18 and they still remember him and make a fuss of us all. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Absolutely love this place and never had a bad meal yet. The staff and service received are exceptional, cannot find fault with this restaurant. The spare ribs, prawn toast and mini spring rolls are the best we have ever tasted. We once went and my daughter had 2 lots of starters for her meal, enough said

Service is perfect. End of. You are greeted when you walk in, the staff are so polite and happy. They look like they want to be there, and that goes a long way.
The food is always served fast and hot. Finger bowls are provided after starters with ribs, etc.
There is a small car park literally over the road.
I'm just glad I don't live closer, because I'd spent too much on takeaways looooool.

Been coming here for years. Over those years I’ve lived in Australia and Amsterdam. The first thing I do when I come back is book a table. Paper wrapped prawns, spare ribs, monkfish, Cantonese beef. If I was to have a death row meal Chungs would be top of the list. I’ve just booked to go the day I get home from Amsterdam next week which is why I am excitedly writing this review
Went to Chungs for my son's birthday - it was lovely! We were welcomed and seated by a friendly waiter, greeted by another one who just happened to be walking past our table. We were given our menus, made our order and served quickly, efficiently, interspersed with polite conversation, and all with a smile. The food was really tasty, the portions were large, and what we couldn't eat was put into carry-out containers and bagged up. We'll definitely be going back - thank you Chungs 😊
