If you are looking for some authentic Greek/Cypriot food in Nottingham then have a look at the Eviva taverna at Barker Gate in the Lace market district. The restaurant is in the basement and built like a genuine Greek taverna. They have an extensive mezze set menu as well as a good a la carte menu. They also have a good vegetarian selection in addition to the traditional chargrilled kebabs and steaks. They have a good selection of drinks Mythos and Keo. If you pick the right night there is both Greek dancing and belly dancing. All in all a decent Mediterranean restaurant with reasonable prices.

The food was delicious and well presented. We had the king mezze which was massive and defeated us! Nick was brilliant and even offered to box courses up for us. Only thing I would say is that the courses are quite dry however more dips were provided without additional charge. Service was outstanding with just the right amount if attentiveness. Our new favourite restaurant in Nottingham.

Just visited for the first time since the refurbishment. Great service and the food is top quality Greek Cypriot food. It is the best I have had since living in Cyprus. The welcome is always friendly & nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We have been coming here for years & would recommend here for anyone wanting to eat good quality Greek Food.
