Stumbled across this place today as my boyfriend said he'd noticed it going past on the bus. So so so so impressed!! All day brunch on a Sunday with some lovely additions to a normal breakfast menu - avocado on toast, scrambled eggs with truffle & mimosa's!! So nice to see a local place using gorgeous local produce & initiative to put things on the menu that most other places either don't bother with or charge you an arm and a leg for. We opted for the scrambled eggs with truffle & it was gorgeous - huge portion on a big slab of fresh bread all for £4.50 each!! My boyfriend added some sausages to his and they were what we call 'proper sausages' lovely taste and amazing quality. Definitely got 2 regulars from us - had a read over some of the not so good reviews and can only say take no notice guys! You've got it spot on
First visit for Sunday lunch today and it definitely won't be our last, the food was fantastic, really delicious meat and a great variety of veggies to go with it - and of course a chocolate brownie for pudding. Great food, great service and great value for money, can't recommend it enough.
The Bakehouse is INCREDIBLE!! Small but cosy and a handful of tables so I'd recommend booking. We went for breakfast, was a great atmosphere and service was quick and friendly. We are big coffee lovers and the coffee was spot on.. probably the best I've tasted in the UK actually. The breakfast... Oh my the breakfast! We had the full English which had locally sourced meats, very tasty baked beans & the best sour dough bread! Much more on the menu which I look forward to trying as we'd 100% be returning! Also quite fancy the lunch and supper menus too😋
This is a great spot to eat breakfast or lunch, all the bread is home made. Service is friendly and efficient with ample seating outside.
I hadn't been back to The Bakehouse since lockdown, but was very pleasantly surprised. Its bakery products have always been first class but the lunch menu hasn't usually piqued my interest. But not any more. Spoiled for choice!
Amazing lunch here... best sandwich I've had in a long time!!!! And the Sausage roll (lunch pudding) was perfect. So perfect I almost for got to take a picture! Great coffee too!
Loved it. Very friendly, cosy and welcoming. Went on a Fri mid afternoon and was very busy so sometimes tricky to get a seat. There are some seats outside for when the weather is fine. Great selection of teas, coffees, soft drinks, beers, ciders and wines as well as gin selection. Serve delicious seasonal plates, savouries and home baked goodies. Complimentary water brought to tabke without asking. Award winning breads on display, along with quality savoury/sausage rolls to tempt you. Dog and child friendly. Lovely baby change area in toilet facilities. Free doggie biscuits. Nice decor - modern rustic.

Delightful visit to The Bakehouse. Table service and staff were great as was the delicious food. We also stayed for a slice of Almond and Apricot Croissant Cake which was outstanding. Will be returning!
Good flat white coffee and nice lunches. Had a sausage casserole with cider and mustard, very tasty. Cosy place!
100% worth it.
I ordered a delivery of the Bakemuffin and croissants.
Both are absolutely incredible.
The Bakemuffin was huge, delicious. Perfect runny egg, lovely cheese, great amount too. Perfect cooked sausage. And the muffin, so soft and fresh.
The croissants are light, fluffy and just delicious.
Will definitely be going there when able to but happy for the delivery option to ve available.
This review is left during covid lockdown 2021.
The time was morning and it was not busy.
I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and oat milk cappuccino.
The good: food was well cooked well, bread was fresh and tasty, mushrooms tastes amazing ( fried and flavourful) and we're good quality.
The bad: food was served in cardboard box and was warm not hot, the bread came pre oiled/buttered, the coffee was slightly burnt,
The discussion: The premises were clean and filled with the delicious smells of a bakery. I sat outside in the warm sunshine, the staff were friendly but seemed rushed with little apparent reason for them to be so. The food was good quality but a little expensive for it to come in a take out box.
Conclusion: This is a place worth revisiting, next time I will try their baked products rather than their menu items.
Brilliant food and coffee. Loved the bacon and the cheese scone. Contender for the best breakfast in Nottingham.
