I have been walking past this place ever since it has opened but never ventured to enter the establishment.
A friend of mine recommended it for our long overdue catch up.
There is table service. The place has lots of seating inside and some are outside as well. I only had a latte but there is a lot of yummi sounding food on the menu, too. It was just not that sort of a meeting.
The service was polite and efficient and the coffee was nice.
Now, the only thing that is not my type are the people who frequent the place - equally I may not be their cup of tea either. But hey.
I may return to try the food when the weather is nicer. I will post an update then. :-)

Visited this bar for the first time today. The customer service was brilliant! The staff was so lovely and accommodating to myself and my baby(who is under 1yrs old) As a mum you sometimes feel out of place in certain bars/restaurants but gilt bar really made me feel at ease. Thank you.
I will definitely be returning!

This cafe was ultimate experience from food to staff.
Food11/10
Staff100/10
Aircon 0/10 :( (it was 35degree when I visited)
Rick was just awesome.
He was honest with his answers regarding the foodie questions, he was helpful, checked back at the right times, plates were cleaned off the table. Honestly Rick you should get the raise and employee of the month cause I observed you and you were consistently amazing with everyone. So thank you.
The price is so reasonable and honestly the quality of the food and the service makes it worth while.
I will definitely visit again.

Came here last night for their Christmas menu, the whole process from booking via an email to having our food was very smooth and I can't recommend them enough.
When we arrived, we were shown to our table and offered drinks straight away.
We pre ordered our food, so our started were brought out very quickly, we had prawn cocktails and a goats cheese and red onion tart .
Main courses were steak, salmon and a turkey dinner, all these were hot and very well presented, the turkey dinner was huge and came with carrots, parsnips, roast potatoes, sprouts, red cabbage, pigs in blankets, turkey and red wine jus, it lovely, the turkey was stuffed with stuffing and felt very festive.
We were all very stuffed, but still had room left for our puddings, we all had the raspberry Panna Cotta.
Our table was decorated with crackers, to add to the festive feel.
All the staff were very friendly and attentive, checking that everything was ok with our food.
We will definitely be going back.

Food is excellent and reasonably priced and when it's warm and sunny the in/outside space is lively and attracts a keen people watching crowd until the sun dips behind the buildings opposite. It's a little cramped and sometime noisy inside but when they have live music on, the vibe is excellent.

Wonderful service and great staff. Went for cake and prosecco after wedding reception at West Bridgford Registry Office. Have exclusive use of upstairs room, which was perfect.

Just love this place. Seems to be one of the most popular in town. We do enjoy the type of coffee here but food a little expensive now. A nice seating area out on the pavement albeit a crowded feel at times as it's next to the bus stop.

Nice place in West Bridgford for casual meetings, coffee, cakes etc.. they got a variety of food menu too. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and not too expensive for these kind of location. It's just besides the bus stop. We visited there on a sunny day and enjoyed sitting outside
Overall worth visiting!

Just been to copper for my friends birthday breakfast.
I will start by saying the food was delicious!
How ever the service we received was appalling.
After 15 minutes of waiting to be served we got snapped at by the waitress 'I will be over when I have a minute, okay?!' To which we found uncomfortable.
We then waited a further ten minutes while people who arrived 5 minutes after us were served first.
When we had finished our breakfast, we went to the bar to pay as no waitress offered the bill.
The lady who served us gave us a glare as we went to the bar then when we asked for the bill ripped it out the till and slammed it on the bar infront of us. We asked to pay separately and got an even fowler look from the lady, who just took our money and threw it in the till. We said thankyou for our meal and she didnt even turn around to thank us for our custom nor to have a nice day to say the least.
Definitely put a dampener on my friends birthday as we were made to feel a neussance.

My husband had his birthday party here, the staff were excellent, great before the evening offering advice and in contact to make sure all was ok. On the Actual evening the staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

We had our baby gender reveal party here yesterday and I just want to say how fantastic it was. Gorgeous Food , friendly and helpful staff, everything . We hired out the room upstairs and they fed 41 of us so quickly & efficiently , which I know is a
Massive job in itself. Not only that, all the food came out hot & fresh. Everyone said how lovely their meal was. Such a Lovely venue, thank you all so much

Don't go here if you have a child under 8 months who can't sit up unaided in a high chair. They do not allow pushchairs or prams unless folded down. Apparently if you have a car seat attachment you should take it off the frame and put it on a chair at your own risk! Ive never heard anything so ridiculous in my life! Funny that Costa, Neros & other places not too far away can accommodate prams and pushchairs and it is not a health & safety issue at all! I'm assuming that if I was in a wheelchair I would be turned away as well as these can take more space up. It's discrimination!

Nice atmosphere, food consistently good and still the best cake in the area 😃

We travelled from Swindon for a surprise engagement party and the venue was fine, food very nice, prices were a bit high for drinks but apparently West Bridgeford is a "in" place so fair enough...

Absolutely flabbergasted and disgusted by the way I was treated today. Feel totally discriminated against as a mother with a pushchair. I was asked to leave my pushchair out the back regardless of the fact I had a sleeping 8 month old in it!! Honestly what did you expect me to do other than being forced to leave. Even though there was plenty of room for my pushchair and not in anybodies way. I have never had this experience in the Copper on Mapperley Top.
Well done Cooper West Bridgford thank you for the awful welcome. Safe to say I won't be back.
Will stick to Nero who are ever so accommodating and always give first class service.
Note to other mums Copper West B a place to avoid.
