I can’t even explain , how happy the food made me. Even though I had ever tried Kerala food before, it was delicious and so homely. wish I can go back to notts. Please open a branch in Norwich too, I will go visit every single day.

Very tasty food, good vegan options. The sharer starter was delicious. The service is excellent, knowledgeable polite attentive staff, but not rushed to pay the bill & leave. Will definitely be back.

Really fantastic little gem in Nottingham. Atmosphere, decor, vibe all really great. The service was impeccable and the food was very tasty.
My favourite was their soup - omg it was heavenly - best soup I've had in years.

First review for the year 2024 and what a way to begin.
Kayal the best Indian restaurant in the UK is in Nottingham… You need to visit to feel it. Very welcoming ambience. The light Kerala music playing in the background is a cheer to your ears. The lighting, seating and the interiors are just amazing.
It has tasty food on the menu. We had a couple of beers and cocktails and ordered for the big seafood platter as starters. If you love seafood, you will love this. This comes with deep fried squid rings, 3 masala prawns, 3 huge muscles and a slice of masala fried fish.
I also tasted the lamp masala dosa which I heard for the first time. The dosa was filled with lamp meat just like the veggies in the masala dosa. 2 were served in a plate and this is sure to fill your stomach with a finger licking taste.
The service is quick and the staff communicate well. They make you feel very confortable.
This place has a huge seating arrangement for parties or get-togethers. You can also click lovely pictures here and the background is sure to get to some gorgeous clicks.

The food here is cooked well and the service welcoming.
Pricing is slightly higher but worth it.
