Didn't quite know what to expect. The evening was on a Groupon and so much depends on your take on Groupon. For me it's a controlled starting point, not the entire evening. Pleasantly surprised. The outside is fine, if dated, the inside more dated and would sure benefit from a makeover. But, the food was lovely, the owner engaging and the evening was at a price we were fine with so what's not to like in that?
This is a lovely place - it's very relaxed and pleasant and the food is excellent. We two had olives, garlic pizza, lasagne and seafood spaghetti. All was high quality and tasty and very reasonably priced. We plan to take a group of friends soon.
Really nice meal, very pleasant and laid back atmosphere. We had the Groupon deal but would go back for a normal meal option. Nice family run establishment.
Been coming to Bel Paese for over 10 years, and have invariably left 100% satisfied. Small-ish, intimate restaurant that provides levels of food quality and customer service well beyond its mass-market competitors.
After reading some off putting reviews I wasn't looking forward to going there for my Groupon meal, but I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed my food and the service was good, I would go back without the use of a Groupon voucher !
Great little family run traditional Italian restaurant. Good food. Reasonable prices. Rather old fashioned (in what I think is a good way).
Fantastic place to eat for an authentic Italian meal. Has a unique 'home-made' feel and despite appearing rather small from the outside has a huge variety of choice

If you want bling and razzamataz this is not for you. If you want authentic Italian cuisine with excellent service then top marks.
