Just travelled from Lincoln to 42, as my son's smashed the skateboard. Rob and Scott couldn't have been more helpful. Got talking about the hot spots in Nottingham for skating. Fantastic passion and customer service.

Great shop and customer service. Didn't have the deck I wanted in stock so I ordered another one and they threw in free gift for not having the one I originally wanted. 100% recommend.

Frankly, awesome and how customer service should be. My youngest had bought an Amazon skateboard to find it if she liked the hobby. She does. So, as a birthday present we took her to Forty Two for a ‘proper’ board and we have nothing bad to say. The staff talked her through all the options. They explained everything in detail and very honestly. The selection of boards is huge. Price comparisons shown across options for a personal decision to be made. My daughter is really shy and they both adapted to being her into the conversation.

Been today to get a new setup for a Dad getting back into it. The guy who served me (I think it was the owner) really helped me out and understood what I was after. I've been down to the skatepark tonight with the kids to try it out and really impressed. Good value for money and great knowledge from the staff. It's worth a visit if you're not sure what you're after.

Fantastic local skate shop, very friendly welcoming and helpful. Been skating a while but never built my own before, the guys helped me and my friend deside on board size truck type and wheels, (didnt try up selling it was genuine helpful advice to pick what was best for us) and even helped me grip my first board. For my first skate shop experience im glad I went here and will continue to in future.

These guys have, far and away, the most unique range of trainers in Nottingham (at least). I’m not a skateboarder but I’ve sat trying (and buying) trainers in here several times and I could listen to the guys that run this place talk about skateboarding all day. The time they give people (especially teenagers) who wander in looking for advice, helping them with repairs and giving them tips is the gold standard in customer service. If you’re not sure where to spend your money in Nottingham, this is a good place to start. This is the kind of establishment that restores my faith in the high street.

First time visiting the shop, their passion for skating is clear. We visited for a starter board for my child. The staff were brilliant in explaining everything and helping choose the right first board. Talking to my child not over them… absolutely brilliant… will be back for more kit!

We've been in twice now for skateboarding related things for my 2 sons (7 & 9) both times the staff have been amazing. Very informative and friendly. They are really good with our boys and today the man spent time explaining things to us and aimed his conversation towards the kids. They go out of their way to help. Our kids are really loving boarding, so we will no doubt become regulars!
