Had Sunday Lunch Roast Beef and Yorkshire pud, it was truly perfect, 4 of us really enjoyed every mouthful! Two of us had Sunday roast, one had a burger the other had steak, all meals were well presented and all cooked to perfection, I really do think that since Richard, the new landlord took over their food has improved tenfold. This is now my favourite eating place. Fresh veg and homemade Yorkshire puddings are always the best quality, honest, can't recommend the Tavern enough, try it for yourself if you haven't already. Thankyou to Richard and all the Tavern staff.
I Went last night as a party of 10 , food was ordered we didn't wait too long for it was piping hot when it came all 10 meals served together, everyone enjoyed their meals. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good value meals , will be back again and will recommend .
I'm ew to the area & everyone has been fantastic, staff, regulars & general customers. The vibe is of a traditional family pub where everyone is welcome, including the family dog.
Well worth a visit. Will update once I've tried the food. Best book for Sunday as I always miss out.
What a lovely experience, 14 to lunch and a party following us in. Robin was tentative to all our needs. Nice feel to the place. At the end Mark and Robin telling us what services they can provide WHEN not if we go again. Well done Mark and Robin,"We will, be back"
Played there last Saturday. A bit tight on space for a 5 piece band but great pub with a dining annex.

Friendly warm family pub. Very pleasant easy going landlord. One gets a full pint too unlike a LOT of pubs without necessarily having to ask for a top up. Also camra discount which reminds me that I should rejoin :) Pity the smokers cannot be limited to only one of the outside areas though??
I have now visited this pub twice in the last couple of months with my family and it's been perfect both times!
Excellent food, good atmosphere and brilliant friendly service. (the American lady who's served us both times is a delight and makes us feel very welcome)
We definitely recommend the scampi & chips and the stilton & mushroom burger. 👍

4 of us went here for Sunday Lunch. We all had various starters, 3 had traditional pork/ roast beef dinner and 1 fish and chips. The fish was gorgeous, thick white flakes of fish and all cooked and presented perfectly. The dinners again were succulent and presented hot. (of late not had many hot dinners away from home). The reason I didn't give 5 stars is they served the gravy on the dinner, a couple of us would have prefered to have gravy served in a jug to put our own on. Finally they didn't have any Horseradish to complement the beef. Only minor couple of details. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and staff were very friendly and attentive.😋
The pub has ebbed and flowed over the years but is still going. Usual pub fayre on the menu. Fish and chips were OK, and burger was alright. If you want to pay more, go elsewhere for the same stuff, but if you want quick and easy dining, then the Tavern will suffice. Staff were pleasant
Went for Sunday lunch as we have just moved back into the village. A very pleasant environment. The 2 waitresses who served us were a credit to the team!
Liked it so much we went through to the bar after our meal for another drink and found cards and domino's free to play! Wonderful experience will 100% be back!
