Read some reviews before hand and i was a little apprehensive. But for the price i wasn't too worried if the experience was substandard. It wasn't substandard, it was a lovely experience. We took the kids and they ate at a children's rate which i thought was a really good.
The food is really good, plentiful, and the staff are constantly replenishing the buffet options. Service is a little rushed on entry but its pleasant and efficient. Clean environment and relaxed.
Definitely recommend to anyone taking children. Lovely dessert options too.
Will definitely revisit
The food is always nice. I enjoy me some maysum. The selection is great. The only drawback would be the plate sized, but other than that, it's delicious.
Five of us had a really good meal here. At £11 per head it was really good value for money, especially those of use with good appetites! There was a really varied selection of dishes, cooked in lots of different styles and very tasty.
The staff were friendly, courteous and efficient.

There's always something about buffet style restaurant that makes me uncomfortable, especially when COVID is still around. I happened to see someone took a piece of chips with their hand, and dip it in one of the sauces tray. While it wasn't the restaurant's fault, it would be so much better if the restaurant pays more attention to these sort of things. Anyways, I went there for lunch, and I was greeted by this one female staff member who was not at all friendly—very sour and angry faced that made so almost lose my appetite. I, however, was very impressed by the variety of the dishes and how fresh they looked. I sampled almost every dish, and my favourite would be the pork ribs, pork belly, stewed beef brisket and pork chasiu. I also quite liked the Singapore noodle and the steamed fish. I tried all the soups that they had, and the hot & sour was shockingly sour! Waaay too sour. But, the other soups were alright (wonton soup and chicken egg & corn soup). For £10.45 it was definitely worth the price and the quality (and quantity)!
Amazing food!! And lots of options for those like me who don't eat meat! I am now stuffed to bursting! Only issue is the music was super loud!
Excellent food. Staff is very polite and attentive. The only downside is the lack of cleanliness. The ice cream machine is usually in need of a clean. The floor should be cleaned non stop as the food falls off the plates and people do step in it. The tables and the dirty plates are being cleaned promptly, I must admit.
Cheap and cheerful!
Exactly what you would expect for the price! £10.45 per person for a mid-week all you can eat buffet lunch. The food was hot, nice selection for a lunch menu. Was very busy so that shows it must be good!
Only thing that let it down was the music was too loud so my senses felt a bit overloaded.
I wobbled into Maysum on my way back from church today and I think I had fun o. Buffet costs about 8 pounds and half pint of craft beer for barely 2P. I ate and ate and ate. Lol. I wish I were a glutton. There was no space to stuff the fruits, salads and ice creams. I feel like going back there now, but I dont have another 10p to throw around. The staff here are friendly and efficient. Never letting an empty plate linger on the table. Willing to assist us with photographs, and kept a smiling face all through. I think I'd be back there and soon. #cheers
Food is amazing as always. Service is good. It just feels a little rushed when you get inside and they rush the drinks and make you pay. The atmosphere is good but can get quite loud and cramped at times
This place does what is says on the tin. Reading some of the reviews here you would expect a 5* dining experience for oeanita! The food is plentiful, extensive and it's replenished regularly. There is even a chocolate fountain although no-one went near it for the entire time I was there. The service is basic no frills. They give you a seat then you pay before you eat while you are taking your coat off!
Suffice to say that your fellow clientelle do not frequent high class eating establishes. No dress code here. Is it great value ? Hell yes!
