Called in last night for some tea after sons football training. 4 of us enjoyed the courtyard area while our little boy got to play on the park and football on the field and enjoy the sunshine.
We were going to eat outside but the temperature dropped off by the time our food was ready so we asked to move inside, no problems.
Two of us had the fish finger sandwich (plenty big enough for tea!) One had fish and chips and our son had the pizza bread and was made up with fries option instead of chunky chips.
Have read some negative reviews but don't let it put you off going, we had a pleasant evening here and would recommend trying it.

defo 5 star rating for this place, food was delish even though mango and chilli chicken was a bit hot for me haha, the staff was lovely to...to the gentleman behind bar whom i was talking to thank you for making it a lovely time there :-) the atmosphere was lovely to warming and more :-) Hope to come back one day!
Great pub, 2nd visit, this time for my father-in-laws 75th birthday, excellent food and drinks, great atmosphere also.
Nicole, our waitress was awesome, great service and friendly personality especially with us giving her funny abuse all night.
Would definitely recommend for food and drinks.
Excellent friendly staff. Great range of guest beers on tap. Brain Clough beer from Castle Rock is a Pilsner-style pale ale which was one of the guest beers on tap. Lots of seating outside and a large car park to the rear of the pub. Dog friendly. Lots of good walking routes including Moorgreen Reservoir nearby.
Family meal out for our Dad's 70th Birthday 🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉
Top room was lovely and warm upon arrival.
We decorated the room to our own requirements..banners, balloons and such.
Meal was nice, could have done with extra gravy and selection of condiments.
Please note that the beef is quite rare, some of our family members didn't realise this.. chicken was lovely and succulent.
Lovely food, really nice atmosphere. They were so accommodating, it was so busy, but they found us a table, and were happy to have! My food was really beyond what I expected, my compliments to the chef! Staff is absolutely lovely. Big garden with playground, so little one had loads of fun too. I loved it so much I'm going back today. Thank you so much for the lovely time!
I have been here many times for meals over the years, and it's has always been very good. Recently, I had the Sunday roast for the first time. The meat was cooked perfectly to how I like it (pink), the Yorkshire puds, roasties, and mash were very nice. The only thing that let it down were the beans. They were pretty raw. However, the pub was extremely busy, so allowances can be made. I've been in the week for dinner mostly, everything has been faultless that i have had. The pub has a great layout and a lovely atmosphere. Staff are always polite and helpful, and the bar always had a great selection of drinks.
Really nice family-friendly pub. Food is lovely.
Enjoyed a great Sunday lunch. Good service, friendly staff. Food excellent & didn't have to wait long. Eva (aged 4) loved her chicken dinner!
As expected a superb meal with fantastic friendly service. The portion are huge but quality ingredients make for a wonderful tasty meal. Cannot tell you how good the meals are you need to visit and try for yourself.
Went for a Saturday lunch. Had the Garlic Cheese Ciabatta, Mushroom and Spinach & the Camembert Sharer as starters. All really really tasty!
At our table we had - a ribeye steak & two portions of the chargrilled pork ribs - there was an error with my order but the way it was handled was so professional that it didn’t hamper our experience at all.
James, the manager was really attentive & helpful & resolved the error swiftly.
Will be back again.
Friendly staff ,big carpark and great food. Recommend booking as it was quite busy on the Tuesday evening . Traditional menu with some upgrades, and we had a very nice visit.
