Still best Chinese on this side of Nottingham. Have been introduced to it in about 2006 when I first moved to Nottingham. Tried many others, new summer palace was ok. Silver marlin is always a safe bet. Never had bad food or bad service. Genuine hardworking people.

I had egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and chips, with prawn crackers thrown in. The food was great - they do chip shop style chips which is ideal if you’re not a fan of Chinese style chips! Did a delivery and it was bang on time - food was hot, delivery driver was friendly. Definitely recommend.

Food is lovely, the people are lovely and the beef curry/ curry sauce is just perfect! Hard to find a Chinese that does a decent curry sauce nowadays and that's why this my only go to Chinese takeaway.

Very friendly staff, very clean establishment. Ordered large chips large battered sausage and 2 fish cakes all for under £10, piping hot and very delicious, I will definitely be going back

Great little fish and chip shop but the owner's have recently retired. Fish is always fresh and cooked to order and the chips are lovely and crisp. Let's just hope that the new ownership is as good as the previous.

Friendly family owned chipshop, legendary chips (and portions)... this place just keeps rolling on while others around them come and go, nothing out of the ordinary, just classics done really really well!

best fish and chips in Nottingham. The fish at Plains fish bar is sometimes meatier, but the chips at Silver Marlin are the best, the fish is cooked to order and always good.
