I go here all the time, really nice staff, very tasty fish. The only thing I don't like is the baked beans are very strongly vinegar flavoured.
I have also gotten food poisoning last time I ate food here, I can't confirm it was this places fish. Not going to stop going just from that one time though.
I'll add that 5th star if I can go 3 months without issues. I'll take another couple off if it happens again.
We always order multiple large fish, which they batter and cook fresh every time so it's all ready together. Never been disappointed, the only thing that goes to waste are a few of the mountain of chips you get.
Great vfm, great service and my girls now don't call this a chippy, it's Apollo and better than any other local chippy and is the only one we go to.
We usually have a Battered Sausage, Chips + Mushy Peas/Curry Sauce. They are really very tasty and enjoyable. The Service is very good and extremely pleasant. in fact this Place is our Joint First Choice of Chip Shops.

The BEST fish & chip shop in the area. All the staff are so friendly & helpful. The portion sizes are generous and the food is great value. It is also one of the few places to sell a canned drink I like too!
Delicious food with very generous portions. Staff are lovely. Used to be a pain they didn't have a card machine but now they have got one, there are no issues
OMG... this place is amazing! I am terribly fussy in regards to chip shops. But this place is the best in bulwell by far! The value for money is incredible. The portion sizes are the best I have ever recieved from anywhere not sure how they make money! The service is great all the guys that work there are so friendly. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Keep up the great chippy, Apollo Fish Bar.
