Stopped off here on the drive home from London when Newcastle played Chelsea away the night before. Great service, quality food and afternoon music on for entertainment, plus sports on the TV, so we watched Day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival. Reasonably priced, too. Would recommend.

I grew up in the area and came by for a visit with the family. Stopped off in the peacock for a meal 2 adults and 2 kids. Really busy! But the staff did an amazing job at keeping on top of things and provided a wonderful service. The food is just as good as I remembered and a very reasonable price. I would take a star off for the state of the toilets but giving this is mostly grown adults making a mess of them, I can’t see how it would be fair to penalise the establishment for this. The food was top quality and the service was outstanding.

Came in for lunch and got the chicken and bacon salad, it was beautiful. Service was quick, officiant and polite, lovely and friendly atmosphere. First time trying this dish and I would 100% order again. The staff on shift in the kitchen was lil :)
