Absolutely amazing! So close to the city centre, nice atmosphere and most importantly the food was AWESOME! Would 100% recommend and I can't wait to go back again!! I only took 1 photo annoying after nearly eating all my chips, but the Holy Smoke Burger was epic!
A genuinely great (all vegan) pub. Food was far above and beyond pub standards and the beer was superb. Grace behind the bar was also charming and helpful. All in all could not recommend more and I look forward to going again.

I've had many meals at The Golden Fleece in the past, catered by The Prickly Pear.
This was the first time that we tried the Sunday Roast dinner.
We were not disappointed!
I had the crispy 'pork belly', and my mate had the roast 'beef'.
It was outstanding! We were both extremely impressed with the quality of the food!
The gravy was the best I've ever had! I'm not sure what goes into it or how it's made, but it was fantastic!! The only downside was that I could have done with just a little bit more in the small jug that came on the plate.
All the food served is vegan, which might put some people off.
I'm lucky, in the sense that I can eat all 3 types, meat, vegetarian, and vegan food.
My mate is a vegetarian, so whenever we have vegan, I can tell him if it tastes like 'meat' or not.
I prefer to eat vegan food whenever I can, as the taste and flavours are so much better.
I couldn't be a full-time vegan, too much time reading checking labels, etc, when shopping, but when I eat out, I always make a point of trying vegan.
If there are any meat eaters reading this, please do try a vegan meal sometime. It opens up a whole new menu choice!
If you want to try a vegan meal for the first time, what better place than the Golden Fleece on Mansfield Road. They've never failed to disappoint me in the past.
Great food, friendly people, lovely place. We came here because we were looking for a place for a vegan lunch. After having a quick Google, this was one that had an entirely vegan menu! If we are ever around Nottingham again, we will definitely be back!! It was delicious! They also have a good gluten free selection.
Great food, even though I'm a carnivore the food was immense and so filling. Staff were lovely and attentive and atmosphere was amazing, only issue was some flying ants but can't blame that on the venue. Defo coming back
A pleasant surprise, the place doesn't stick out much due to the other pubs and flashing lights along Mansfield road, but inside is a nicely decorated pub that makes you feel at ease, the staff are lovely and make great drinks. I have yet to try to food but it always smells amazing. Will visit often with vegan friends.
Great menu with amazing food, goos selection of drinks, and good service!
The menu here is vegan, similar to many cafes and bars in the area, and I can't confess to being a huge fan of vegan alternatives. However, I did enjoy it here. The seitan was nice and was quite a pleasant alternative to meat. Decent meal for a decent price and a good range of pints and other drinks on tap. A pleasant surprise.
The pub could do with a freshen up, the menus are a bit grubby, and the lighting isn't the best, but despite that I keep coming back. Everyone who has served us has been very friendly, and the food is amazing. Visited four times since moving to Nottingham recently, and each time my husband and I have loved our meals (which is really rare for me). Only thing I wasn't keen on was the brownie. Cocktails are great too. We're looking forward to trying the Sunday roast next, as well as checking out the quiz!
I had dinner here with friends on saturday. Lovely, lively pub, great range of drinks and fantasic food. I'm not a vegan but love trying new stuff. I had the donner kebab and it was amazing - fresh naan, flavourful crunchy salad and the "meat" was beautifully seasoned and really tasty. Hightly recommended and we will be going back!
