Nice big pub staff member was very friendly shame the only beer they had was John Smith's smooth noi a good ale so had Guinness kept well £3.80.

Massive back garden but full of students having a good time. 🙂 Very friendly staff.. Had to wait in a queue as the pub was very busy.. no seats.. Good atmosphere. Just had 1 drink. The toliets were small cubicles but wasnt too bad for cleaniness.. Car parking is very poor. Just a few spaces in a line in front of the pub. Be very careful where you park here during the week.. A large building site next door and no parking are allowed on the street due to the work being carried out. I had to park on the street but it was Saturday after 6 pm. The building site was closed for the weekend.

Very basic but that's not a bad thing. It has a reasonable drink selection at reasonable prices, decent seats inside and out and a pool table. Good enough for me

The burger van in the car park is really good. Reasonably priced, tasty food, friendly staff. Food could have been a little hotter but the guy was on his own and he did a great job. 👍🏻

Nice place to have a quiet drink out the beer garden, lots of space, nice staff, good location, different offers on all week, screens to watch the football will be coming back to this one

Cheap beer, nice atmosphere.
Paul's burger van is elite.
£5 card limit but you were never going to just have 1 pint anyway

Great place. A bit quiet, but it is Tuesday. Very friendly staff. Cheap beer for a Londoner. Shame about the £5 min charge for a contactless payment. So, I had two beers!

Funny how the bad reviews are also on our sister pubs page. All a load of lies hope you got paid well. Everyone is welcome and we do our best to keep all customers happy if the beer made you ill it's probably because your system is more used to badly kept cellars and a fresh clean pint would upset you. Tap water is freely available although we reserve the right to charge for use of glass and staff time unless you are pregnant or need it for medication, it's a little unfair to expect to enjoy all the facilities and not buy even a half pint.

Reasonably priced pub, lots of students attend from nearby accommodation. Service is normally prompt. TVs will show football when it’s on. Also has a nice garden.
Very busy sober the change of management, which has its ups and downs.

I'm always going to give this old, traditional pub a 5* rating, that's because my wife & I are the new land lord & land lady. We've been here since late may 2014 and the business has grown, and the dynamics of the pub have changed dramatically. The atmosphere is friendly with a diverse culture of many differing customers. I can boast the coldest pint in town due to our revolutionary delivery system. Our food is growing week by week and a new menu is in it's early stages. Our Christmas menu is stunning and an absolute steal! Look forward to seeing you soon. Phil & Tracey.
