Paris Bar & Restaurant

We had the absolute honour of Paris being our wedding reception venue and it was perfect. We chanced upon Paris whilst wandering past along the cobbled street, we popped inside and were blown away by the decor and knew right then we'd found our venue, then we tried the food - divine! Beki, (the manager) was wonderful. We had fabulous fun choosing the bespoke menu, tasting sessions, chef consultations, nothing was too much trouble whilst arranging the finer details of the day. When the big day arrived it was absolutely as perfect as could be. Her team was incredible, attentive, knowledgeable, talented and kind. Everyone went out of their way to make the day special. We had 60 guests and the service was swift without being rushed. Each course was cooked to perfection and presented with style. I cannot speak highly enough of Paris and want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who contributed to making our wedding day perfect. Thank you ❤️

Had a lovely meal the service from Jack and Becki was outstanding, we were a nuisance when it came to the bill but they were so professional, lovely and understanding when we couldn't work the total out due to a voucher and a deposit that was paid despite the restaurant being quite busy at the time. Food was amazing especially the lamb croquettes & minted pea tart. Would definitely recommend

My third time back here and as gorgeous as ever. Had the set menu which is 3 courses for under £30 which is an absolute bargain for the quality and presentation of the food. I arrived early so enjoyed a couple of cocktails at the bar. A lemon meringue martini and a chocolate orange martini - both absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, a really lovely team. The only downside is how quiet the place was. Please support them so they don’t have to follow suit of their sister restaurant, Petit Paris which shut down a few weeks ago. Overall, really amazing food, brilliant service, outstanding cocktails. The lemon posset was absolutely gorgeous.

This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant, perfect for date night but also equally as good with a group of friends. The staff were extremely friendly and we were served very quickly! We had a three course meal and a bottle of wine using a groupon voucher but the prices are very reasonable for what I would consider a “fancy restaurant”. Definitely recommend and we will be visiting again.

Lunch Set price menu. We've not been here for a while. They do a set price menu. Two courses £22.95. Three courses £29.50. As well as A la carte. We started with some nice cocktails. Candy Floss Martini Lemon Meringue Martini. Starters Mint and peas tartlet Lamb Croquettes Sea Trout Mains Chicken Ballottine Pan fried Atlantic Cod Desserts Sticky Toffee pudding Lemon Posset The food is nicely presented and served by very friendly staff. Thank you, head chef, for looking after us.

Came here on a Groupon offer. We were both very impressed with the whole experience. When we arrived we were greeted by one of the managers who was very welcoming and took our coats and showed us to the table. The whole evening was very pleasant. All the staff were friendly and polite . To start we had some bread and oil and the beetroot and cashew nut pate, followed by the French onion soup served with Welsh rarebit and the polenta with goat cheese. For the mains we had the plaice with potatoes, brown shrimps with a scallop sauce. Chicken ballotine with mash. Pudding was mango Panna cotta with rum and coconut puree and coconut macaroon and a lemon posset. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be back .

1st time visiting PB&R...definately will not be the last. Really nice decor and atmosphere, the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, the blade of beef was outstandingly good. The starters and venison main were faultless. The Merlot was reasonably priced and quite moorish. My wife's only gripe was the cheeseboard was freezing cols as though it was made up earlier and the produced from the fridge. The cheeses really should have been served at room temperature instead of all of them being really hard and solid. That said we will return, probably again and again.
