We called in to this lovely restaurant on Saturday for a meal for two. The staff were great and found us a lovely table near the window. We opted for individual dishes from the menu. The chefs see bass was superb as was the duck red Thai curry and sweat and sour chicken both. Thank you to all at the restaurant for an excellent meal.

We have been dining at Arunothai since it opened and it has got better each time we go there. It is great to see an out of town restaurant thriving. We celebrated Valentines Day on Friday and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxed but nicely busy; all couples appearing to be enjoying their evening. The meal and service was exceptional and made it a good choice for a romantic evening. Before we left my husband went into the kitchen to thank the chef and his staff for their endeavours. Well done everyone, see you soon.

Really lovely meal as always! We went for lunch and found the lunch menu to be extremely reasonably priced for some fab options. I believe it was 3 courses for £12. The main is with a small portion of rice and a small portion of the curry but it's definitely enough to satiate! We had an extra of coconut rice (because we love it and it's not an option on the lunch menu) and that really rounded the meal off. There's so much attention to detail in this place too. We got a cocktail each, I think they were £8 but unlike a lot of places they were full glasses which tasted like really, good quality ingredients and lasted the whole meal. On top of everything, at the end I said it was my partners birthday and asked if there was anything I could pay for in relation to that (like getting a little cake or a birthday drink) and free of charge, my partner was given a little present! All in all a lovely meal out with some fantastic service!

I enjoyed my meal today and no one could argue it isn’t good value. We were served quickly and the food was really hot and fresh. For me though it lacked flavour but I will go again and choose different dishes

Family dinner in a chic authentically decorated local restaurant. Chef speciality dishes had extra depth of flavours - well worth a try for more seasoned, adventurous and travelled palates. Mixed starters, mango fish & stuffed squid were excellent. Recommended.

The food is always fresh and delicious. We regularly order takeaway and have also eaten in. The Sunday club is brilliant value! The papaya salad is amazing!

We had my 50th meal here. The food was excellent and tasty. Staff were very good running around for us. The only thing was a shortage of drinks, but it was still lovely.

We had our first visit to Arunothai yesterday and it most definitely won't be our last. After doing a search on trip advisor for a different Thai restaurant rather than the handful that we tend to visit on a regular basis, we decided to take a drive out to this one as after reading the good reviews we were intrigued with the Sunday Club and how it worked. We arrived for lunch at the opening time of 12 o'clock. The waiter on duty was so friendly and he helpfully explained how the Sunday Club menu worked. Now there are two different Sunday Club menus, the first which runs from 12 until 3pm priced at £14.95 per person and another menu which runs from 3pm until 9pm priced at £17.95 per person. The second menu has a few more options on it. Both menus include appetizers, soups, curries, stir fried dishes and side dishes too. We were told that these menus do change on a regular basis. The way the Sunday Club works is that you can eat as much as you like off these menus but only one dish at a time per person (a good idea really as this way you don't end up with a table full of wasted food). We thought the dishes would possibly be tiny but they really were ample enough especially considering that you can keep ordering different dishes. We had a mixed started between us, then we both had a different choice of soup each, 2 curries with rice between us, 2 different main dishes to share and a portion of pad thai. Remember that if you don't like your food too spicy, let the waiter know so that your food can be cooked to your liking. The food was delicious, freshly cooked and tasted as good if not better than many of the meals we have had over many years in Thailand. The batter on dishes that contained this was so light, really nice. There are no desserts on these menus but I'm quite sure that if you did manage to have room for one then you could order from the main menu and pay the extra charge for this. Please bear in mind that you can have your table for up to a maximum of two hours. As well as the Sunday Club menus the Al a carte menu is available too. The restaurant was very clean and tidy and within keeping of Thailand, the bar was well stocked too. We had wine which was very nice and reasonably priced. All in all we had a wonderful meal, totally loved the concept of the Sunday Club and we will be coming back sooner rather than later not just on Sunday's but on other days too. Totally worth the drive over to find this hidden gem. If you haven't noticed already, yes we do recommend this restaurant. One question to the owners, please, please can you open a restaurant in Mapperley?

Arunothai is in an unlikely position slightly away from the centre of Hucknall, however you shouldn't be put off by this. There is a comprehensive menu with some well-chosen set menus. Decent sized portions (enough without being too much) complimented by a variety of beers, wines and spirits. Staff are very attentive without fawning and food is served quickly without feeling rushed. Takeaway available and plenty of special offers if you follow them on Facebook

This place is a rare gem. I don’t know anywhere else in the area that offers an all you can eat thai menu cooked fresh. This place has a Sunday Club whereby you choose either a meat or vegetarian starter platter (or 1 then the other) then move onto the mains where you can pick 1 per round per person along with rice/noodles & reorder as many times as you like. Occasionally they offer extras to try if you ‘check in’ on facebook. They do a 12-3pm menu for £13.95 then a 3-90pm wider menu for i think £16.95. Personally i prefer to eat earlier in the day if its a big meal & the earlier menu is more than sufficient. There is a large selection of thai currys then other dishes including chicken, beef, pork, fish & vegetables. We try & cover most of these as the flavours are varied whereas the currys are quite similar (yet still delicious). There only seems to be one or two servers making it feel very friendly. They are very attentive and cannot do enough for you. They welcome children however on one occasion we were passing a high chair around as they only seem to have one. They have no issue with you taking pushchairs in but do not have any baby changing facilities. We will definitely be back soon!

After reading some indifferent reviews a couple of years ago we always dismissed this restaurant, however wanting a place to go to eat last Saturday I checked trip advisor and found Arunothai in the top 20 restaurants in Nottingham, so glad we did, as Arunothai is a 5 minute walk away, we had booked for 7.30 pm and as we arrived a further 4 groups arrived in my mind I was expecting delays and slow service, this was not the case service was quick and very personal, one of our party has an allergy to bell peppers, we told our waiter and he made sure none were served The food was good and the service was not intrusive. I would have given this review an excellent but I chose lamb shank the sauce was good but the lamb didn’t absorb much leaving it a bit bland Next time we go I will chose something else and I am sure it will get an excellent review

We fancied something different for a Saturday night takeaway so we thought we would try here. The food was tasty but to be honest not amazing, the sweetcorn starters were soggy and the beef quite tough. However, I was quite disappointed with the value for money. We ordered 3 starters to share and a curry each. When I rang to order they said that rice was not included in our £10 pp curry so I bought 2 portions for £5 (for jasmine rice?!) when I got the food home the portion size of the curry was small. In total the food cost £34.60 with a small discount for takeout included. For that price I expect a lot more. We won't be ordering again, or visiting for a sit down meal.

Sunday lunch menu of eat as much as you like, provided a wonderful meal for all the family. While it is not the cheapest around, the quality and variety of fresh, excellently prepared dishes, rates it one of the best . Excellent service from the staff.
