Amazing food and really good atmosphere with an outdoor bit. Vegan burgers here are literally unreal, especially the fake chicken ones. My friend ordered a real fried chicken burger and said it was the best fried chicken she's ever had. Our server Fred was really lovely, checked up on us to see if we wanted more drinks and everything.

While the focus is undeniably on burgers, there are also good options for sides and salads. Vegetarians and vegans are well-catered for as well. The burgers at Fat Hippo are really good, being cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients and really showcased the kitchen's abilities to provide tasty and satisfying food. The fries are crispy and flavorful, and the optional extra toppings offer a fun twist on the classic side. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. There is also a good selection of drinks for both grown ups and the kids, whether you are in the mood for a beer, soft drinks or a milk shake, they have you covered. While not the cheapest option in town, the quality of the food justifies the price. Considering the portion sizes and the overall dining experience, it's very reasonable for a memorable meal out. I would definitely recommend them and I certainly will be paying them a visit next time I am in town.

Best burger I’ve ever had, hands down. Just over £30 for two burgers with sides and two soft drinks which is really good value. Service was amazing. Our server, Fred, was so lovely - he was attentive and great fun. Will 100% be back soon!

Been coming here over the years and cannot fault anything. The service is always fantastic and everyone is always friendly. The food is great and there is a variety of items. Always book beforehand as it’s always ram packed! We ordered cheese balls and tater tots for starters. Both a hit ! Onions rings are nice and crispy but could do with a bit more seasoning. Only downside is sometimes the wait for food is long but it’s always super busy and recently our food was a bit cold the last time even though they were busy so not sure what went wrong.

Genuinely one of the best burgers I've ever had. I opted for the "Born Slippy" which is a cheeseburger with prime rib. I also added crispy onions and an onion ring. The meat was cooked to perfection. It all melted in your mouth and was an explosion of flavour with every bite. We had "Wachos" to start which is a great serving of waffle fries with beef, cheese, hot sauce and jalapeños. It was a lot of food for a starter and extremely tasty. I also had a milkshake called a "Mars Attack" and it was so good I had to get two. If you like chocolate milkshakes, you MUST try it. Overall this visit exceeded expectations. Very satisfied customer.
