We ate at the Help Out Mill for my Wife’s birthday and were really pleasantly surprised. We didn’t know what to expect only that it had good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were taken aback by how intimate the venue is yet still large enough to enjoy your visit with a degree of privacy. The Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was exquisite. I believe the menu is revised fairly regularly but focuses on using local produce with game options. We shall be returning in the near future. Preferably when it is the lighter nights so that we can enjoy the beautiful surroundings a bit more. That being said, the place was lit up beautifully in the dark. Would definitely recommend!

What can I say - this is a really easy 5 stars. Lovely location and a beautiful old building with high ceilings and original beams. Cosy atmosphere - the carpets are so nice I felt like I should have left my shoes at the door. The service couldn't have been better - absolutely A1 and really looked after us. The food was 10/10 and I wouldn't change a thing (the hake was cooked to perfection). Lovely wine too. Very reasonably priced for the experience and quality (the Sunday 3 courses fixed menu). The only downside was that they don't take tips via card, and we had no cash so felt a bit embarrassed about it but the lady serving us couldn't have been nicer about it. Please add the facility for card tips though! Will definitely go back again - superb.

Incredible meal and stunning location. Rather out the way but absolutely worth the drive. We went on a Friday so had the set menu of three courses for £32 which felt like I was ripping them off. Lovely, attentive staff and the every course was top shelf. 100% will be returning!

Wonderful evening spent celebrating our wedding anniversary. Our first time out since lockdown and we were not disappointed. We have been to Help Out Mill several times and always had a wonderful time. Beautiful restaurant and very welcoming. We felt very safe with the new safety measures in place. These were excellent and everything has been covered however this did not take anything away from our dining experience. The food did not dissapoint and was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Nothing is to much trouble and Lisa and the team go out of their to ensure you have a wonderful evening. Would highly recommend .

We went to Help Out Mill for Sunday lunch recently and the whole experience was amazing. The setting, the restaurant and the staff were lovely. I chose the fish and it was beautiful, served with a good selection of vegetables, the others in the party had a Sunday roast and said it was beautiful, especially the crackling on the pork!.Altogether a great experience which we hope to repeat soon.It is so refreshing to find somewhere with such high standards both with the food and the staff.

We were recommended to this charming restaurant, out in the wilds of Leicestershire. The staff were delightful, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The restaurant was well set out, cozy without being squashed, and the food was delicious. There are 2 fixed price alternative choices of food, both reasonably priced and good value. We have booked a return visit, no more to be said!

Just been with my wife for a Sunday Lunch. What a delight, the staff were welcoming and were brilliant. The meal itself was delicious. Will definitely come back again. In fact we have booked for an afternoon tea. So let’s see if that is just as good

This place is amazing, the food is as good as Michelin star quality. The warm friendly personal touch makes this the best restaurant we have ever visited. Also most of the menu is suitable for gluten intolerance. We can't recommend this place enough.

Excellent service. Very quirky and quaint. This makes in unusual in the current style of food place and this is definitely to its advantage. Home cooked food with homely service. There is no rush to get you out and this relaxing approach is very refreshing. And the unlimited desert trolley is a revelation. Well done to Fay and all her team and we will definitely become regular visitors.
