Service was fantastic, food was delicious. All staff were professional and polite. I recommend booking as this place is quite busy. We never booked but the staff and management bent over backwards to get us in. Will deffo be making another visit soon! :)
Birthday celebrations. Haven't been for a while, my favourite place ,my family to.service was brillant, clean, very polite, well presented staff.Didnt wait for food long, pipping hot beautiful Sunday lunch, good price, good value , excelled yourselves I must say, my partner had lamb, beautiful , fed nor vegetables needed but excellent , mixed grill, and children's meal , nothing left on any of our plates. You have nailed it for us.Thankyou for making my birthday an enjoyable one . Finished off is beer garden still immaculately kept. Few dangerous things need looking at in tree area I must say , few benches need replacing but loved it.
Typical Beefeater, food ok, great service, reasonable price. Can get busy at times but service remains great.
First time I've been here the food is amazing the service is brilliant and the atmosphere is so relaxing.these are to of the starters potato skins with bacon and sour cream dip and nachos.
Been here numerous times & it's a lovely atmosphere, friendly & helpful staff & the fillet steak is amazing! 🤤🤤
Visited the Griff today and had a great afternoon.
Despite the restaurant being busy we were looked after efficiently, our Sunday lunch was excellent and was also good value for money.
Good potions with everything fresh and served piping hot, extra gravy is a must!.
Lots of parking too which is certainly a bonus.
The place has a good vibe about it which much be contributed to the staff that seemed happy and extremely helpful, we can be pretty fussy with certain aspects with out food but all of our needs were met.
The staff deserve the all plaudits, from the kitchen to front of house, thank you to Ellis who oversaw our table, polite, friendly with nothing too much trouble.
We will certainly return.
Went for Birthday breakfast treat. Nice freshly cooked full English. Efficient, friendly, service and when the waitress found out it was my 66th she presented me with a box of chocolates from the team @Griff, a really thoughtful touch!! Thanks ❤️
Came for breakfast before heading out for the day. My children were very happy helping themselves to croissants, pancakes and endless cups of juice (amongst other things). The staff were friendly, the place was very clean and it was very calm inside. Cooked breakfast had to be ordered, but could have ordered endless amounts of time - whilst everything else was help yourself. The selection wasn't the biggest, but it was enough!
The big plus is its attached to the Premier Inn. It's straight forward Pub Grub and the staff are attentive. Watch out for the "meal deal" it's a bit like Easy Jet - they'll sneak the extras on the bill. I'd prefer staff to state: "that salad is £3 extra, that sauce with your steak is not included so that's also extra" and so on. Reading the complex t&Cs on a busy menu when you're tired and hungry is technically possible but staff being upfront would be better. Although I was there at 6pm they'd sold out of the T-bone steak deal promoted this week.
Very busy morning as it was a Bank Holiday. But staff were friendly, welcoming and the cooked breakfast in particular exceeded expectations. Natasha - one of the waiting staff, in particular had a lovely way with customers. In particular, when there were two children being served hot food when their parents were away from the table. She was extremely nurturing and natural with them, whilst informing that the plates were hot and to be careful of them. An all round lovely experience.
A nice place. The service is good, albeit sometimes inattentive. The food was decent, as long as you're just looking for pub grub and not a michelin star meal. I enjoyed my burger (although more green stuff would have been nice), the salmon and risotto was REALLY good, but the lobster tail you can add to the steak was disappointingly small. All good for the price though. Staff are eager to please and were quick to fix any issues we had with the food. I'd go back there (and will!) just remember it's a Beefeater, and adjust your expectations accordingly.
Had lunch here with friends yesterday. 2nd time we've been and I've had the fillet steak.
Beautiful steak and cooked to perfection. The ribeye and pies the others had went down well too.
Service great. Young chap, who may be a manager was friendly and looked after us well.
Will be back.
