A lovely historical pub with a cosy interior, we had a quick pint here.

A lovely old pub with a nice garden. We sat on the shady patio to eat. The menu has a mixture of Greek dishes and British classics. We chose the Greek. I had a chicken souvlaki and my partner had lamb kleftico. Both very nice, not huge portions but very filling. Food was a little slow to arrive but we were warned of this beforehand. Landlord was friendly, as were many of the customers (dogs included). I am only sad this is not my local pub!

Nice, village rustic old pub/hotel. Courtyard car park, large room with bath & shower, comfy decor and tea/coffee. Freshly cooked, tasty breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff. Evening meals were very good. Pleasant garden which catches afternoon sun. Great area for walking and cycling. No complaints.

Absolutely lovely pub/hotel stopped here for one night in one of their 3 rooms, couldn't fault the room really beautiful the owner was very friendly and kind breakfast was very tasty and cooked to perfection really recommend this place, definitely would go back.

We abso loved it. Quirky and crazy and laid back!!! Rooms were theatrical! Lovely. A quietly tucked away haven in a very pretty village. We would def go back!

Dropped in for dinner as a last minute decision whilst passing through the area.
Very quickly picked up on the friendly and welcoming village vibe.
Two of us had 3 courses, all of which were so beautifully put together and each component cooked to perfection. Whoever’s working their magic in the kitchen (we think landlady) really does know what they’re doing. A big plus for me. Worth every penny.
Very good red wine to accompany the meal also. The most pleased I’ve been with a meal out in a long time.

A beautiful hotel and pub set in the picturesque village of Exton . I had a warm welcome from the friendly owners . The rooms were certainly a boutique style, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The food was amazing - freshly prepared by the chef and of the highest standards . It was a lovely place to relax in the bedroom ,restaurant and pub area . I highly recommend a visit and I will certainly return!

We stayed one night at the Fox & Hounds. We were visiting friends in Oakham and found this not too far out. The owner was very welcoming when we arrived - took us straight to our room and also kindly booked us a taxi to take us into Oakham later that evening. The hotel seems to have been recently redone to a very high standard, the decor is very fitting for the building and the room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous. There was a bath in the bedroom and the room had everything we needed for the stay. We enjoyed a drink in the bar before we headed out which was served by the owners who are both lovely. We also had breakfast in the morning in the beautiful restaurant room. We would recommend staying here to anyone! The only small point I would make was that for some reason the hot water in the bath wasn't very warm but this didn't really affect the enjoyment of our stay! Thanks for having us
