I loved it there. Oban is a lovely town to visit. I would highly recommend seafood hut. I loved langoustines there and mussles too! We had oysters and calamari too, which was fresh and good. Reasonably priced and quite a few options.. They have a small seating area with a couple of big benches and tables, you might not find a space when its busy..

We were originally planning to leave Oban immediately after breakfast for the Highlands but fortunately decided against doing so. Sticking around allowed us to wander close to the famed green shack and give its offerings a go. We were richly rewarded for having cash on us (do note it is cash only) with a sumptuous spread of seafood. Of special note were the enormous and fresh oysters and scallops. We will certainly be back the next time we are in Scotland.

Loved the location near the water. First time trying oysters, guided by our server who advised me what to do. Really generous portion of King scallops. Free crab sandwich due to time of our visit near closing time.

Cash only, runs out of many things later in the day. Come early! Don’t believe hours online, they change. Small seating area available but often full as this is a popular spot - on a sunny day you’ll have plenty of options but at least there is some covered seating on-site for rainy days, squish up and watch for seagull thieves. Fresh as can be seafood and great value for the price!

We came for lunch one wet, Sunday afternoon in October.
We had two oysters, scallops in hot garlic butter and hot langoustines. All came to £30. The oysters were the biggest I've ever seen! All the food was fresh and tasty. Great little casual lunch spot.

Very good seafood at a good price. You have to be patient to queue up for ordering the food, but it should not take too long. They are serving both cold or hot food. There are only limited seats or standing place with shelter, that can be difficult if it is raining. But definitely worth to go if you want to have some fresh and good seafood that is not easily found in UK.
Cash only, remember to get enough cash from the cash machine before you go.

Incomparable quality AND price for just about the freshest seafood you will ever have. There will be a line, and it will be worth it. And, for the record, the staff are so efficient and knowledgeable, you’ll barely have enough time in line to make up your mind. Not pictured is the previous visit, where we got the seafood platter for 2, which is of insane value. You won’t be hungry for hours.

Decided to visit Oban seafood hut based on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. Shared a Grand platter and some oysters with my wife. Very fresh! Should also add the value is good when you are talking seafood prices. I will definitely be coming back to visit again.

A must try while in Oban.
Rather than a restaurant, you have to try this hut for more original and local experience. The seafood is fresh, therefore it tasty. The location and ambience is nice.
You should try platter, all things are there you can enjoy with family or friends.

It's the second time I've visited there. Oysters are very fresh and they keep the juice - brilliant!
Mussels are cook to order - yummy!
The seafood platter is gorgeous! Smoked salmon, mussels, shrimps, a whole lobster and cooked scallops!
My goodness! You can't miss this lovely place if you visit Oban.
