Our pub like all pubs have had to close their doors to the public, so we went down to support their takeaway food tonight. I'm so glad we did. The choice of food was amazing from a selection of pizzas from their pizza oven to fish and chips and burritos to scampi and chips plus lots more. I can honestly say the food was superb! Shall be definitely going back again.

Went here on a recommendation and we were not disappointed! 5 of us ate, 5 clean plate. I had teh liver and bacon which was delicious and then - oh my goodness - the bread and butter pudding!!!!! Good value for money too. If we are back in this part of the country then we will be back. Very good service too - no surprise that it was full and we needed to book.

Went with a group of friends. I had the liver as did one other friend. It was delicious but was on the menu as being with “bubble and squeak, spring greens etc. The bubble and squeak seemed to lack bubble and was just a few sautéed veg and a minute amount of mash. For £15.95 I think this is very expensive. My desert of honeycomb pancotta was also delicious but very expensive for the portion

Came here as a family of eight, on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my fathers 60th. Everything was spot on, the roasts were top notch, puddings were delicious and the staff were fab. The pub was full to the brim which clearly didn’t phase the extremely attentive waiting staff. Wonderful atmosphere. Couldn’t have picked a better venue for a family birthday. Thanks.

A lovely Valentines Evening at the Masons Arms. Everything about it was wonderful from the food and atmosphere to the company!! I would definitely recommend the Masons Arms.

Stayed here whilst in Yeovil on business and will book again and again . A quintessential Somerset Pub with luxury rooms and an astounding menu that easily should have a Michelin star. Staff are so friendly and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. To top it all , it has its own camping site and microbrewery. Costs marginally more than a premier inn and yet is far better than some of the top priced hotels. Well done Masons Arms!!!

Great menu and some very well cooked Sunday lunch. Service was attentive and personable. Clearly a well regarded and popular place as most tables were reserved. They do turnaround tables fairly quickly so always a chance of a walk-in. Well made quality food with good service. We’ll be back.

This pub is quite tucked away, but is well worth the effort. The menu looks fairly standard, but they also have a specials list and the food quality is amazing. Much better than normal pub food. Plus they have home made beer, which was also excellent (particularly No. 1).

A really friendly pub with a great atmosphere and an on-site microbrewery. The food was also particularly good. I had the liver and bacon and it was fantastic. Served with a really rice gravy and bubble and squeak. For the quality of the food, the prices were quite reasonable too. Thoroughly recommended.

Booked Sunday lunch a couple of hours in advance, lucky to get a table, and we arrived up a tiny little village lane, and turned into the car park. The car park was very tidy and looked like it had been resurfaced. On entering the quaint pub it was warm and inviting, our table was ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. We had a drink and then ordered olives and local bread with oil and balsamic oil, a really nice starter. We also ordered the Sunday lunch (top side beef) and it arrived piping hot with plenty of veg and a lovely tasty gravy. The meal was lovely and we had bread and butter pudding to finish, which was also very good. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Well worth the visit when in the Yeovil area.

Well what a fantastic atmosphere. Buzzing, lively without interfering with our extremely good late Sunday lunch. Amazing Thankyou.

We were on holiday in this area and tried this pub because it is dog friendly. Well it was fantastic! Very friendly to dogs and people, with excellent food. The food had real cuisine to it. They do straightforward pub food but also some of the dishes were really good chefy dishes - eg the gin cured salmon was the best we had had outside Scandinavia. It was our favourite pub and we visited three times, having the same welcome and good food on each occasion. This pub brews its own beer and this was nice to try. It even bakes its own bread, which you can buy to take away, which we did! We have two large hounds and there was plenty of space for them to lie down, and the pub had doggie treats for them!

There is nothing quite like a well run and well maintained old British pub and the Mason’s is an excellent example. On entering we were greeted like long established and valued customers by mine host, though this was our first visit. There is a warmth about the place that wraps itself around you as soon as you enter. It was a Thursday lunchtime, just after noon, but there were already quite a few customers drinking and awaiting their lunch. There was a buzz about the place and the background music wasn’t too loud. So far so good. We were offered a nice spot in a huge fireplace and drinks were brought to the table whilst we viewed the menu. Sadly there were no specials offered, but my gin infused salmon starter was delicious and the traditional fish and chips that followed, served with crushed peas, equally delightful. Hubby started with pan fried wood pigeon, which he thought excellent and continued with a tasty burger. This pub actually sells loaves of its home made bread and I know why - the brown bread served with my starter had a sort of treacle like taste which could easily have sent me home with half a dozen loaves it was so good! The ladies loo was a delight too, something that often gets overlooked in an old inn. Again it well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had such an enjoyable time that we asked if we could take a look at their ground floor bedrooms as we plan a return to the area later this year. They were as expected, clean, tidy and well equipped with smart ensuite bathrooms, with full sized baths, in a quiet spot. Ideal! The friendly host went out of his way to tell us that he also offers a room with a walk in shower. We were charmed by the lovely old village of Odcombe and this really delightful pub, with its own car park, and will be returning when we return to the area next month.

We have been back to The Masons a few times now Started as just a good place to camp near a friend in Yeovil with ... happy days .... a campsite at a pub :) Now it’s a place we go for great food and drinks in a great pub and just a few steps back to the camper van. The toilets and showers at the site are clean and warm. Lovely dog walks nearby and the dog welcome in the pub too. We always end up eating there both the Saturday night and the Sunday for lunch. All delicious! We all have a soft spot for the white onion soup when it’s on. Will hopefully bring more friends to camp next time too.
