Just got back from camping at the Masons Arms and can thoroughly recommend it.Lovely small, friendly site with everything you need and more .Pub food was delicious and just what we needed after long days in the outdoors on the day where cooking for 3 adults and 5 kids became a chore and nothing too much to ask of the owners-we even borrowed an ice bucket for our wine which been stewing in the tent all day. The children s highlights were the Real Fish and not fish fingers in beer batter and watching the dogs doing the agility course.Only very minor downside was the trainee cockerel crowing even before the sun came up- but then you 're camping so who wants to lie in after 6am anyway.Thankyou for a great time.We definitely be back . ππππππππππππππππππππ
Stayed three nights in Poppy cottage just a few yards from the pub itself. Wonderfully kitted out, clean and comfortable. Both cottage and pub very dog friendly. Staff friendly and accomodating - nothing was too much trouble. Food wonderful and don't get my husband started on how much he liked the beer which is brewed at the pub's own micro brewery! I would highly recommend The Mason's Arms
Just had a night away in the Shepards Hut. It's such an amazing place, so different from the normal. The food is to die for and the staff will go that extra mile to make your stay special. Well done the Masons Arms!
What a beautiful pub inside & out. Sat in the beer garden to have lunch, the room was really spacious with lots of handy freebies (even a stocked fridge) then had an evening meal plus breakfast this morning. Really friendly, great food & choice of ciders. Thoroughly enjoyed it x
Stayed in the cottage accommodation which is just a few steps away from the pub. Very polite and attentive staff and food was very good, especially the Brie starter and liver and bacon. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon
Sunday roast chicken was absolutely delicious ! The Yorkshire puddings are to die for .Local produce and homegrown veg were so fresh and tasty . It's a lovely , comfortable traditional pub but very smart , well decorated and pristine clean . Thoroughly recommend this dog friendly pub for a well priced excellent meal .
Stayed here as attending wedding Brymtom House it a great location very pretty village. Welcoming, friendly, great food, lovely staff who were very helpful, spotless hotel. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic. Its a lovely old pub. The campsite we stayed in at the back is very good. Very picturesque and immaculately clean. Pitches well set out and landscaped. Toilets were spotless and modern. Pub food is brilliant and all fresh local produce. The addition of a micro brewery so they brew there own beer is awesome as they are all really good.
Can't recommend enough and will return.
Fantastic rooms with friendly accommodating staff. Freshly baked croissants and breakfast cooked to order was a great start to our day on our long drive back to Scotland .
Great stay in The Shepherds Hut, everything we could need including a sample from the on site micro brewery!
Lovely meal in the pub and good breakfast, both overseen by front of house Dave who was excellent.
Great pub, accommodation, host and staff. Thank you.
We wènt for a Valentines meal......which was amazing! Food was to die for, had to wait a bit in between courses, which was nice as you didn't feel rushed. Staff were very friendly and efficient
Second visit with the dogs love this place so much...food great, rooms lovely, breakfast lush!!!
A real gem, lovely room and the food was fantastic. If your visiting Yeovil I'd recommend saying here. You won't be disappointed.
What a gem not only looks good on the outside but is lovely inside too. Very well equipped rooms with en suite bathrooms, in a quiet setting with camping at the back. Wonderful breakfast and such friendly staff. If you are going to a wedding in the area or just visiting the beautiful villages and surroundings this is the place to stay.
Lovely pub and really good food. We did a pub quiz the landlord is hilarious!
We stayed 3 nights on the campsite just behind the pub. Small but nicely laid out with very good facilities, very clean and well looked after.
The pub is a real bonus being on your doorstep! Great food and good choice. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
I would thoroughly recommend this place. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay such a pleasant one!
I forgot to mention, this pub is very dog friendly! π
Stayed at the masons arms camping site. Great location for a quiet stay next to a fabulous pub. Very warm welcome when we arrived. The site and pub are very dog friendly. The camp site was very quiet during the day, fabulous for resting and relaxing. The pub food was very good, therefore we ate out most nights. There is a lovely walk, may not be suitable for some as it is quite steep, also a garden centre within walking distance.
Only minor negative is the narrow entrance for larger motorhomes, especially if cars are parked opposite. We were fortunate that the parking spaces were empty, therefore only needed two manoeuvres to access and egress.
Lovely stop over at the Masons Arms in our camper. Grass was v. wet and they kindly let us switch to hardstanding. Food and beer in the pub both great, staff were friendly. Campsite facilities were clean and well looked after, will definitely return.
Stayed at The Masons Arms campsite during a motorbike weekend with some friends. Online booking was simple and easy, called up to confirm the pitch was large enough for our 3 small tents (all 2 man size) and told pitches were suitable sizing.
Arrived after a wet and windy ride through storm Antoni. The staff were welcoming and friendly and were able to book us in for a meal that night even though it was a busy Saturday night for them.
The facilities were perfect. Campsite right next to the shower and toilet block which was clean and a welcome sight after a cold and wet ride on the motorbike.
Unfortunately one of the groups tent had leaked the night before at the previous campsite and so his sleeping bag was drenched, after speaking to the duty manager (didnβt catch her name but had pink and blue hair) asked if they had a drier on site we could possibly use, none available but called the landlady who lives nearby and arranged for it to be taken there and was dried for him.
A 3 course meal that evening was devoured after a tiresome day, every dish was delicious, and the portions sizes were spot on (3 rugby lads who enjoy their scran π). Beers on tap were great too, plenty of cask beers, cider or larger available, just no Guinness but a minor setback in the grand scheme of things. To top off a great evening enjoying great pub grub and drinks, with the bill was our friends sleeping bag, dry and warm for him to enjoy a decent sleep! Amazing service, and such attentive staff, all were pleasant and happy to help. The breakfast in the morning was spot on, full english with a pot of tea, just the tonic to set us up for the ride back. Would definitely recommend staying here on your travels to or from the west country. An absolute beautiful part of the world and a great pub & campsite to enjoy it! Looking forward to the next motorbike tour and another stay at The Masons Arms! Thanks to all the staff π
We spent a long weekend here at the campsite and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the pub lovely and campsite an absolute delight, very peaceful. There are lots of places to explore nearby on foot, which was a real bonus. Some great places and other pubs to explore. We also loved that they had various walks written out on laminated cards to take away before returning after the walk for others to use...why don't more places do this?! The only issue for us was the food in the pub...one of us enjoyed it but 3 of us were rather disappointed. The vegan ravioli was a sloppy mess and overpriced at that. However, all in all, a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay and we will certainly be back. Highly recommend!
Fabulous traditional pub, full of character. Decent pint and the food was good. We stayed in a camper in the field behind the pub that takes a small number of vans or tents, some with elec hook up. Great clean shower and toilet block facilities.
Came home Monday 12th June 23.
The campsite at the back of the pub was lovely and quiet, very peaceful.
The toilet block was lovely and clean.
Though I do have several reservations.
1. We wasn't told that there was a water tap on the site and my husband trekked up to the toilet block to get our water. It was only on the last day someone in a camper told us.
2. I didn't like that there was only 2 toilets for the whole site at one point we were queuing to go to the loo. I find it very embarrassing using the toilets with men present either washing up or getting washed.
I also didn't like that the customers from the pub were also using the toilets.
I loved the idea of the fenced in dog area that was very useful to us.
I cannot fault the staff they were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them.
There wasn't much round about and if your not to good at walking you need a car to visit the places of interest. The village of Montague was lovely. Well worth a wonder around there.
On the whole we had a lovely holiday Thank you.
Lovely and comfortable clean rooms. Service very good staff very friendly and welcoming. Location in a lovely quiet village but ideal fo exploring the area by car. Also very good for walkers.
Went for a family meal out, the staff were friendly and accommodating and made us feel extremely welcome. It was a really pleasant meal - would definitely recommend
Fabulous Sunday lunch . Wonderful atmosphere. Very friendly helpful staff . Many thanks to Lue Wellman who served us . She was lovely , polite and very informative. Will definitely be coming again x
