All I can say is, Wow! Absolutely loved this place as soon as we pulled in down the long driveway. Very inviting with large outside garden overlooking the lake (Just needs a few lights around the garden at night) On entering we were offered numerous places to sit (We have a puppy in a doggy pushchair and a cockapoo) and nothing seemed to much trouble, the waitress was very nice, chatting to us and there was no rush at all, we were made to feel very welcome. We decided on the main courses of Norfolk sausages with chive mash and fresh seasonal veg with onion gravy and homemade chicken and mushroom pie with mash and veg. Both were presented really nicely, good-sized portions, and very, very tasty. Both had lemon tart with fresh summer berries, popping candy, and fruit sauce for dessert. Excellent choice, possibly the nicest lemon tart we have ever eaten. Absolutely great atmosphere in a lovely setting, waitress' were really friendly and we did not feel rushed at all. Wish we had found this earlier in our week, probably wouldn't have eaten anywhere else, highly recommended, and next time we're in the area, we'll definitely be going back
Lovely place next to the river. Stayed for lunch with a friend. Service was a bit slow but the ambience and food was good. It's very child and dog friendly which is great! People started to gather for a wedding at the venue before we left and were waiting for the bridge to arrive next to the pier .It looked wonderful. Will definitely return.
On holiday down here so first time here. Was amazing. Bit difficult to find but got there eventually. Beautiful place BUT we were a party of 4, and we only got 3 puddings. They forgot to bring one out, excuse was some staff had gone and not passed order on properly. Waited 20 mins and other 3 had finished their puds. No worries, got it eventually and it didn't spoil our evening. Lovely clean place and very friendly staff. Definitely recommend.
We got married at the Boathouse a few weeks ago and it was absolutely out of this world. The location is so beautiful, the staff, the food and absolutely everything about it was incredible.
We also stayed over the night before and of the wedding and we cannot fault the accommodation in any way, so clean and had everything we needed. The lodges are stunning!! We did not want to leave.
We have eaten in the restaurant a few times over the last year and it's always been a delicious meal which ever dish have chosen.
Thank you so much to Belinda and her team for helping us have the wedding of our dreams, we will be planning to come back to visit on our anniversary!

service was THE BEST, to the point of perfect. friendly, welcoming, just couldn't do enough, and we only stopped for lunch!

A great place for a relaxing meal and a drink. We have been here quite a few times over the years and have always enjoyed it. During the summer it is great to sit outside watching the wildlife on the broad. The food is always first class and the staff very attentive without being in your face. Highly recommend.
Nice venue, good food, generally clean & wholesome. (Sofa in the bar had seen better days, including worn cushions. Glass topped Coffee table next to sofa needed cleaning desperately).
Stopped on for Sunday lunch on our way back from Caister. This was recommended to us and I can see why. Beautiful settings and grounds, fab play area for the kids, comfortable homely pub decor and great food. Would recommended it and would return.
Lovely restaurant on the broads. We hadn't booked but popped in on the chance of getting a table, we were in luck, ordered our drinks and a roast beef and a roast turkey.
This is no longer a carvery and is now table service.
The roast dinners arrived about 15min later, were hot and very tasty, the roast beef melted in your mouth.
We paid and sat outside and finished our drinks, all was good, service was quick and with a smile, we will definitely pop back, thank you
Booking is advisable for the restaurant, especially at the weekend and holiday's. We went as a group of 4 and were sat in the bright and airy barn area towards the back of the restaurant. We were quickly seated and asked straight away if we wanted to order drinks then or wait a little while. Once we had ordered, they were quick and efficient with the drinks and then with the starters main and dessert. It was a good menu and a great variations for everyone. Food was lovely and recommend the fish or seafood. With 4 of us all having 3 courses and alcoholic drinks, the price was very fair at around £40 per head. Will definitely go again . Thank-you.
