The staff are superb, nothing is too much for them, The two girls that run the place, Alison Alker, and Jenifer Holden Miller, are second to none when it comes to customer care, and service. All the staff treat you like old friends. Cant recommend the place highly enough.

When we first arrived we sat outside but it was a bit windy so went inside. One of our party was in a wheelchair. No problem to go inside and move round the bar area. It was quiet and one of the staff said she would take our drink order for us. Two of us were eating and we were told of specials on. Food ordered and when it arrived it looks delicious and it lived up to it. Had a lovely time. Will be back again.

I went here on a first date. The whole night was great. Great service, great food, great company, just greatness. I love this place. We've been back again but just for a drink due to timing. The staff are nice and polite. The food prices were reasonable and the food was so tasty. I'm looking forward to my next visit for sure. Sitting by the canal and having a drink. I can't wait.

We went on Sunday for roast dinner, had lamb shank and beef. The shank was very small, the beef was taught even though the waiter asked if I want it pink and I said yes. The potatoes were prematurely roasted no colour and tasted like they have been cooked 2 days ago. The ju was amazing, the service was excellent and the starters were tasty, buy we won't be coming back for roast.

We love this place. Always go and have a little drink by the river while the kids play. Obviously it's a little better in summer but indoors is fantastic if you don't wanna brave the cold. Haven't eaten here yet but food looks amazing

Lovely pub in a gorgeous location. Food was delicious, we had fish and chips. Couldn't fault the staff Joy and Eve, very attentive and professional and couldn't do enough for us to make our visit enjoyable. We'll be back, thank you.

Excellent food, nice staff, brilliant menu and fantastic location. Food is freshly made, very good quality and tasty. Disabled access is good, there is a step up at one end of the dining area, but there is a door into that area. The location is amazing on the side of the Leeds Liverpool canal. Large windows enable diners to watch barges potter past. On the other side of the hump back road bridge is a statue of a "Navie" (diggers of the canal) as this is the point where construction of the canal was started. There is a big car park, disabled spaces, tidy grassy bank and a children's play area; swings, slide etc. Outside also are tables and seats. Toilets are tidy and clean. Disabled toilet is a bit enclosed and needs brightening up but is accessible and suitable for wheelchair access. All in all a great place to go for a meal, family party or just a pleasant, relaxing afternoon. 5* recommended.
