The Plough Restaurant

Deffinatly worth a visit, well decorated, and food delicious at reasonable price especially if you go for 2 or 3 courses. If I was being picky is we went around 4 pm on a Saturday and it was quiet and they put up upstairs, which seemed for function or bigger groups which I didn't understand apart from that good place to visit.

This is our local restaurant our go to for a meal out. Said to my hubby today I want to go to somewhere different. So we went to a high class restaurant in the ribble valley high end cars on Car park very posh. They had a set menu £45 for two courses half in menu had a supplement! it was very nice but the food at the Plough was far better and superior, so if you want high class food at an affordable price the Plough is your go to. And I will always going back to the Plough.

Yet another eatery within the Accrington area that is worth a visit. The food is very good quality and presented nicely but may I say a little pretentious.There are a few things that could improve as with the Sunday roast beef a red wine jus is offered on the menu and unfortunately one of our party does not allow alcohol past their lips and no other sauce or gravy was offered leading to a very dry Sunday roast. Service was a bit hit and miss also as I asked nicely for a glass of water but after 10 minutes ended up going down stairs and getting it myself. The haggis and garlic mushrooms was wonderful and the beef curry was nice, lacking in sauce and a huge piece of solid brisket ( presumably). Two of our party fell back in love with the good old bread and butter pudding over indulging somewhat 😂😂 It is nice to have these types of restaurants appearing in our area they are a good thing so pop along and support them you may well be pleasantly surprised.

My partner and myself, visited for the first time yesterday. The food was exceptionally good and extremely tasteful. The staff were nice and welcoming and even though we sat outside to eat. I am looking forward to visiting again and eating indoors. The venue is beautiful and very well priced too. Thank you for a great first visit, we will definitely be back.

Just back from Scotland and really surprised to see Haggis on the menu so my son and I tried it. My son said he would have forgone his Gammon and had 4 of the Haggis and garlic mushroom starters. High praise from him. Staff on hand were very professional and the food amazing. Will certainly go again when in the area.

Well well well, what a great find. People had been saying for a while how good this place was but we just hadn’t found time to get there. Very glad we did though, service was impeccable the food was blummin fantastic and portions were possibly, dare I say it, too big. But will definitely be getting another visit. A lot of good pubs in the area and this one can be added to that list easily

Always a good greeting and chat. The range of wine on offer suits all tastes. Food smells awesome but not tried that yet (I won't dine alone and my son never visits lol). Staff always pleasant and attentive. Support local businesses 😊 Finally booked for Xmas Eve, off the December menu. Wow! Food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Thank you for fitting my son and I in for this sitting. This k he will visit more now. 🤞 Thank you to the staff who made 60th special.
