A real local pub with a friendly feel. We were welcomed and served with fabulous food, drink and service. The atmosphere was welcoming and had a quiz later in the evening. We can’t wait to go back.

Been under steady management for a few years now, has become quite reliable! Marston’s, decent kitchen (new chef joined recently too), pretty good for burgers. Waited a little bit longer than normal for food, but couldn’t fault it when it came (the manager did also say there was a table of 25 inside slowing things down). Nice outdoor seating area. Also, pretty good Sunday roast too. Prices have gone up a little bit but where hasn’t

Had a meal Thursday evening, there were issues with staffing but we were served quickly and efficiently by a lady called Jess. Bar staff were also good. We ordered the hunters chicken which was nice, tasty well cooked chips but the onion rings were a little chewy but still acceptable. Overall a pleasant time at the Highwayman.
