Lovely quick family lunch. Called in for lunch with my 3 year old, we were grated at the door and told to sit wherever we liked, kids menu was brought straight over as we sat. I had chicken Caesar salad and my daughter had kids mac and cheese from the £4 kids menu, she also had a massive milk shake which went down well Lunch for us both and a drink each for a very reasonable £23 Will definitely be back

Absolutely love coming here for brunch! The food is absolutely delicious, the service always friendly, and the surroundings beautiful - I adore sitting out in the courtyard.

I had a red Thai prawn bowl and it was beautiful. They were busy at lunch with a small wedding party in but we just squeezed on a table outside. Food was fresh tasting and tasty. We cycled and could park our bikes next to our table looking across the church yard. Will definitely go again.

3rd June 2022: What a gorgeous historical building sharing a railing fence to separate it from the grounds of St. Oswalds Church in Oswestry. I believe the Old School House Café is in "Heritage Lane" (so I've been told by local Oswestrians). Sophie the new proprietor come chef come hostess has done an amazing decor transformation and absolutely stunning. Love all the old with the new zen relaxing attractive colours, art and furnishing...the historically old, new and retro art pieces, prints, sculptures and even a classic Vespa scooter sit adoringly comfortable with each other... The food ingredients and menu choices are refreshingly tempting and looked delicious. What a change from what was here before and well done to Sophie, the interior designers, decorators and the craftsmen who put the lovely place together both on the inside and outside too..loved the outdoors vegetable boxes, the outdoors seating and tables area... The views to St.Oswalds church in the background just adds another special feeling to the amazing location of this little hidden gem of a Café inside an historical 15th/16th century listed building .. Can't wait to taste the cakes that were tantalising me but it'll have to wait till my next visit as my brunch was so lovely and delicious..no more space in my stomach! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, helpful and attentive..nice to see smiling and happy staff about... Well done to you all and a visit to this beautiful café, restaurant, wine bar and historical building is highly recommended..

Addition to previous review: In March we had out wedding here and could not recommend the place more if you are looking for an event venue. Sophie was great to work with and really catered to our needs creating a menu that was prefect for us. Sophie was great with communication and really made everything easy for us. The atmosphere was perfect, the staff was amazing and our guest had nothing but praise for the venue and the food. We have returned on several occasions after the wedding and will continue to be patrons in the future. Previous review below: I'm so excited to have been recently introduced to this place. I was looking for hours and saw there were only a few reviews so felt it was due another positive one for this hidden gem! Housed in a beautiful and unique historic building with 'cool' art work on the walls plenty of indoor seating and a lovely closed garden area in the back. I had a flat white which was perfect (perhaps the best I've tried is Oswestry) and tried some of the dishes my friends ordered which made me eager to come back. The vegan sausage was in house cooked and delicious as the hash. Menu looked like it catered to vegan, gluten free and meat eaters with effort put into every dish.

Incorrect outdoor location picture. OSH Big Breakfast -- disappointing bacon, given so many good local butchers.
