Bull

Really good menu, but unfortunately a couple items I asked for were unavailable. No matter; we had the burgers, which were laden with both beef and confit pork, and very good. The front of the pub had its historic impressive open fire blazing, which looked great, but it seemed very smoky inside. Luckily we were sat in the back where it wasn't a problem.

Good food and service, but kitchen closed before we had chance to order desserts, which was frustrating as it was only just after 8pm. I can't reply to the owners comment, but it was a staff member that had been serving us all evening that told us the kitchen was closed and that I couldn't order desserts. I believe she was new, so probably just inexperience.

A very old pub rich with history from the local area, which has a cosy warm interior and a large outdoor seating area. Decent selection of drinks available at a reasonable price and quick service. Despite being a large party the food was served quickly. I had the "Bull Burger", which has a beef patty as well as pork belly and was served with seasoned fries. The fries were good, and I really enjoyed the seasoning but the burger was even better, well balanced and great flavour. My partner has the pork belly as a main, which was mostly but good she didn't like the greens as they were a little hard to cut through. However the mash was excellent (as I managed to nab a bit). Prices were good for what you get too, I left with a full belly. Parking available for customers too.
