Superb pizza & a great buzzing atmosphere. Getting a table is pot-luck though mind you it’s a mix between a pub and a pizza place so you can always have a pint & wait.
Awesome place, great food, good beer and very cheerful staff. I have been here so so many times and it never disappoints. It's a must try on any visit to Oxford.
It’s a more than 100 year old pub and they have kept it in old style, yet it charming. A good place to grab a Pizza and House Beer.
Pizza Recommendations-
Buffalo Mozzarella Pizza - Thin base pizza, topped with fresh and delicious buffalo mozzarella, and the tomato sauce brought in the zing with every bite. One of the good pizzas I ever had. Don’t forget to drizzle the olive oil or chillies infused olive oil over the pizza.
It’s a value for money place and the staffs are friendly which is a icing to the entire experience.

So apparently this place really fills up at night. We were here in the early afternoon so we missed out on the "crowd".. Nonetheless, drinks are good and it's like most of the bars In the area- intimate and well done up with little decorative surprises in the corners.
I particularly liked their candle stands made from empty alcohol bottles!
One Friday afternoon, I was sat at work craving a good pepperoni pizza! Not just the usual dominos take out style, but a freshly made, thin based type pizza. I was meeting my sister in town after work, so I was on a mission to find a good pizza restaurant that I hadn’t been to before. First stop…. Google! Simply typing ‘the best pizza in Oxford’, I was redirected (obviously) to TripAdvisor which had a full list. Top of this list was ‘The White Rabbit’ pub.
Well I was taken to this place by a friend who claimed it had one of the better pizzas in Oxford. Let's just say I have had better. Slightly on the drier side with a scanty helping of the base sauce, the pizzas were average to say the least. Go here for the crowd and not the pizza so much.
The White Rabbit offers the best pizza in town and probably all of England. My husband and I are Americans living in Oxford and found this gem via Trip Advisor reviews. We have taken all of our family and friends that have visited and we have 100% agreement. Great pizza, no matter what toppings you order. The pub is small and usually crowded but the service is far above any others pubs in the UK. The staff is young and friendly, and service oriented. We keep going back
On first impressions I found the recently refurb'd pub to be both warm and welcoming, with its various small seating areas, cosy, but modern, décor and laid back staff. The menu offering was pretty simple: dough balls, garlic bread, soup, stew or pizza. Even pizza options were paired back to just five choices - none of your 'fancy pants' piz
Lovely lads, lovely place, lovely food.
Every time I come to Oxford this pub is a must-go. I live in Italy and I swear they got one of the best pizzas out there. Very welcoming environment and very nice staff. Can’t wait to come back xx
Stayed at the White Rabbit. Staff couldn’t be more friendly. Great tips on where to visit. Very accommodating with our two young children also. Would love to come back next year. Would recommend if you have a young family, or for couples. Thanks for a lovely stay. :)
What a lovely place. The barman was so friendly and helpful, helping us choose which IPA to buy. Lots of seats inside and lovely quirky decor. We sat outside for a couple of rounds and it was super relaxed atmosphere. Mixed clientele of locals and tourists. The pizzas we saw looked amazing, though we had already eaten so did not partake.
My only criticism was the toilets which need a good clean and a major refurbishment!
The bar was quite secluded but still had a busy feel! I think the food draws in many people, and it was because of the food that someone recommended the White Rabbit to us!
We only ate the dough balls as we had prior dinner plans elsewhere, but the pizza menu looked amazing and we will definitely need to come back to try their vegan pizzas.
Beer was good, and the atmosphere was great.
A relaxed quirky bar with a good selection of beers on tap. You can taste the beers before buying. We also had the 4 cheese pizza which was very acceptable. Lots of Uber eats and delivaroo pick ups so food must be OK. Interesting collection of bottle openers....
Lovely place to go for a drink and meal, food is delicious and affordable with generous portions. The staff were lovely and the place had great ambience. Had a great time will have to come back again. "Better than pizza express" - Best Friend.
My daughter took me here for dinner as she knows how much I love pizza.
We sat outside, which is all covered, & she ordered on her phone.
Great veggie choice & the pizzas are just gorgeous.
The only thing I'd change is to ban smoking outside or set up a separate smoking section so I'm not forced into breathing in rancid smoke.
Fantastic pizza and good beer.
Service was efficient, but I'm not keen on doing everything through a App and being asked to decide on a tip before we've seen a member of staff.
One of the best pizzas in the town !
We have been to this pub more than once and love the different types of amazing pizzas they serve. The calzone (just one option) is also fantastic.
A recommendation to the owner :
While the service is quick, one of the cons is that the number of seating spaces inside the pub is quite less and in winter, it is chilling to eat outside. Therefore on weekends and busy periods, it would help to put some kind of heating arrangements for people who sit outside.
Lovely, friendly and cosy pub with great pizzas. Room for big groups and small tables for two as well. Love the crisp pizzas with a good variety on the menu.
