I went for Sunday roast and it was incredible. Everything in the roast was naturally gluten free except the Yorkshire puddings. They even had a GF beer option! Server was knowledgeable and reassuring about allergies and cross contamination. Good option for celiac / coeliacs as I didn’t get sick. Overall the food was delicious. Wonderful ambiance and worth the trek across Port Meadow from Oxford to get there. Would definitely recommend reservations as it can get busy on the weekends.

Excellent all round. Celebrated friend's birthday. Indoors was full and served outdoors. Heaters were installed. Starter Fish was delicious. Fish and chips and the Pork cheeks with Kale was perfect. Gingerbread dessert with ice cream and Blackberry tart was great. Will be going back again.

Love going to the Perch. An easy 20-minute walk from Oxford. Excellent food and service. They expanded the seating area and the patio & gardens. Still had the quaint and cozy old section. Very nice. Had a wonderful Sunday roast. Want to try the garden on summer afternoon. Will go again.

The place is beautiful and isolated, so peaceful. There is a huge garden that joins the river and a delightful walk by the river. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Dogs are welcome too outside. We found this restaurant on Google as we were travelling through Oxford to the South East, no regrets at all and hope we can visit again some day soon. Thank you 😊

This is a beautiful pub. We sat outside for fathers' day and highly recommend sitting in the garden if you can. The walking approach from the river is nothing short of magical, feeling like you're entering some form of fairy glen. We passed the outdoor cocktail bar (which we'll be coming back for) and we were seated near the pub, surrounded by flowers in one of several smaller areas within the garden, which made the space feel intimate despite the scale of the garden area. We were served by Christian on his last day, and the service was fantastic (in fairness all of the waiting staff seemed great). Christian was knowledgeable, and the service by all the staff was attentive, quick, friendly and ideal in all respects. The food and wine were excellent, and the kids all loved their meals. We had a fantastic time and cannot recommend the Perch highly enough. They are dog friendly but the garden is extensive so it's easy to find dog free tables if that's your thing.

An absolutely beautiful restaurant worth the walk past port meadow. Highly recommend the outdoor seating space when the weather’s good (however you define good). Highlights include the mushy peas on the fish and chips, and the honey and cream dessert (rough approximation of name; dish pictured).

After trying a couple of pubs around Oxford, this is probably one of the best. I'm french and I learned at a gastronomic school. It's quite far, but first the food is very tasty, then the jazz selection goes really well with the wooden fire and the wood all around. The service is great, not too much, not too little, the menu is not too big, meaning the food you will get is fresh. We had one of the best British pie I got, so far in England, and a trout, that was well cooked with a great sauce. If you're a foreigner and want to get great English food in Oxford, this is the place!

Charming place with a big garden terrace. Amazing pork Sunday roast, it was juicy, tasty and so crispy on the outside. The greens well cooked and tasty. The roasted potatoes where delicious. The marmalade and ginger pudding with warm custard was really nice. A very good place for coming with the family or friends. Very very recommended if you are around.

We were here for the springtime dinner. Our experience at the Perch was fantastic. The staff are very kind and welcoming. The food is phenomenal. The wine was tasty. The pub space is massive, friendly and welcoming. This place can’t be faulted and I look forward to coming back.

Had a lovely lunch here! The food was very tasty and there are plenty of choices I was really impressed with the staff! The waiter who served us was very nice and friendly and his service was excellent! The location is absolutely lovely. Only a 10 min drive from Oxford, the place is located in the countryside. The pub is very cozy and the garden is huge! You can walk from the pubs garden directly to the river!
