Happened upon this gem when visiting Oxford and felt like a lazy brunch. The interior is nicely decorated - quirky/bohemian and spacious while still managing to be very intimate, warm and welcoming. Of course this was helped by the lovely staff. Both the manager receiving us and our waitress were very welcoming and personable. The food we ordered was amazing. The Vegetable Shakshura (happiness on a plate) and a Baba Ganoush/Hoummus anti-pasti sharing platter were both nothing short of superb. The only gripe I have was that we both got full before being able to finish it all. Hope to visit soon again when I am back and couldn't recommend it more.

Delicious shakshuka and perfect pancakes! They are generous with portion size too compared to many brunch places. The setting was well lit with natural light and tasteful, lovely place for brunch

I've been here several times. Their chorizo shakshuka is a very good portion and quite tasty. Unfortunately they don't do any sausages anywhere on their menu (just bacon, hash browns etc, also noticed no baked beans either - they don't do full English). I had a craving for this yesterday for some reason. Had some slight issues with the drink whereby the Lillet spritz was on the cocktail menu as the rosé version but when it arrived they'd used the dark red version instead, but they changed this eventually to an Aperol spritz as I didn't like the taste of the Lillet and this was done without too much fuss, which was appreciated. The upstairs seating is quite cosy and was very hot as the windows can't open. Despite the small points above, in general this is a solid place for brunch in Oxford and is on my list of to go places.

The spanish eggs were delicious. I wish the eggs were a bit runnier and the bread was a bit on the tougher side, but everything was tasty, spiced and hearty with big chunks of chorizo. The hashbrowns were amazing, super crispy and fluffed up. Great brunch option.

We visited the George Street Social for some cocktails, and they did not disappoint! The Aviation was soft lavender scented and delicious. Our second round of drinks was forgotten about, but the fabulous waiting staff brought us complimentary glasses of prosecco to apologise. The staff were always polite, warm and friendly. The atmosphere buzzes, music is played low so conversation is easy. It was so good we went back for brunch the next day (Turkish Eggs were moreish and so flavoursome) - the same waiter spotted us and gave us more complimentary prosecco! Thank you George Street Social - you swept my husband and me off our feet! X

PERFECT FOR WORK ALSO Oh Wow! George Street Social is amazing place to prepare a presentation on the laptop, haha! Seriously, I had do some work on laptop and then, I saw the cafe and went straight away to upstairs cuz the view was good for there. Although, they offer limited food varieties but the food was great and so as the cafe. NEGATIVE: Just one suggestion that servers shouldn’t ask again and again about ordering the food. Sometimes, it can be annoying for some people. Definitely, I had no problem with that but that’s a suggestion to think about. I will surely visit again. THANKS
