Museum Cafe’s are always a good choice, Ashmolean did not disappoint. Modern open kitchen had the Curried Cauliflower with mint dollops and glass of wine. Bright sunny day for the terrace, rooftop view. Excellent service.

My choice for lunch is the Handmade Wild-Farmed Black Truffle & Ricotta Tortelloni with butternut squash purée, caramelized shallot, roasted butternut, Parmesan, sage crisp, and truffle oil, priced at £19.50. Hats off to the chef! It was the best tortelloni I've ever had! I wish I could have more…

I was delighted with this place, a wonderful view, delicious food and excellent service. Kevin made an effort to get us a table as fast as possible as they were busy, Charles was very kind when taking the order and attentive to allergies, after ordering we had to wait a bit for the starters, after that everything flowed perfectly. I ordered this supreme chicken, very well presented on the plate but the best of the best is the dessert. panna cotta with strawberries and cookies delicious! 10/10. BTW, summer recommendation, make your reservation if you don't like to wait for a table, the place is very popular. we will be back

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon in Oxford. Food is always wonderful (albeit on the dearer side). Menu changes frequently, incorporating local produce (such as the Oxford blue cheese I had today!). The only reason I knocked a star off is that their profile says they're open until 6pm, and I've been told they're closing at 5pm. Not an issue for me as I'm waiting for an Ashmolean staff member to finish and then heading off, but the wrong hours on the profile may lead a few astray...

We stopped here for afternoon tea whilst visiting Oxford. I didn't realise you needed to book, but the restaurant manager was very accommodating. Lovely food however I was a little disappointed with the cake selection included compared to other afternoon teas I've had. Service was brilliant. Well worth a visit if nearby.

Lovely place for lunch in Oxford. The room is light and airy with views across the rooftops of Oxford. The food is ideal for lunch. There are a variety of interesting options at reasonable prices. Service was prompt and attentive when we were there - and we weren't rushed away at the end of our meal even though they were busy.

Simply outstanding. Definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. When your mind is blown by a side dish of roasted potatoes, you know it's special. Easily the best food for money you'll get anywhere, probably in the world. Don't miss it.

Lovely rooftop restaurant at top of Ashmoleum Museum. You can access this restaurant and the basement cafe that does a good variety of teas, coffees, lattes (with milk substitutes) and cakes without a Museum ticket. The restaurant is popular with a mostly older crowd. The menu is small but food quality is high and very fresh. The mint leaves soup of the day had puréed chunks that showed home made preparation. Vegetarian friendly. Portions are small but two veg. starters were all I needed for lunch. Pity they didn’t have sane variety of lattées as the downstairs cafe post meal, so had to go to the basement for that. Service very friendly, quick and efficient.

Beautiful location and lovely atmosphere. We chose the Chicken Supreme which was delicious, however, the portion size for the price is very small. Desserts were much better value for money. Staff were very nice and service was swift.
