Peppers Burgers

One of the best restaurants in Oxford, a real local hot-spot. You can choose from a variety of meats, toppings and sauces (I recommend the aioli). The chips are also fantastic. There is often a bit of a wait as the place gets quite busy, but no more than 20 min, and the staff work together in an impressive way to get everyone their burgers, while chatting with customers and creating a great atmosphere in general. It is clearly a community center based on the posters around the space, which are up to date and offer interesting activities all over Oxford.

I was visiting Oxford for the first time and decided to eat here at random. It was not busy when we arrived but while we ate our meal it seemed to hit Peppers rush hour and the staff team were working together like a well oiled machine to keep the customers happy. I loved my chicken burger with excellent choice of sauces and would absolutely return to try the lamb & mint and beef burgers. Seems like a local gem of a place.

Great burgers, at a good price and with great service, near Oxford center. If you wander around the exclusive Oxford's Jericho district, you can't miss this burgers" place. Don't let the humble place with its eclectic walls misguide you: they make great burgers and chips, and the service is great. Many sauces to twist your dish, and drinks available (no beer, but fresh ones very close in a co-op at the same street). Then you can enjoy in, outside or take away and eat by the river. Really tasty burgers and fries! The portions are large and there is a wide selection of toppings. There is interior and exterior seating but it's quite small, so takeaway is better. Sometimes the place gets busy and you have to wait a bit to get your food and calling in advance to order is better. Definitely a a good place if you want to try something local in Oxford.
