Nef Istanbul Restaurant

Last August I booked for a group of 25: staff were VERY accommodating, food was excellent (multiple platters) with good size portions, the restaurant was calm and true to its Turkish vibe. It was a special occasion and I am so glad that I chose NEF Istanbul Restaurant. I now visit regularly, nothing beats feeling comfortable.

Excellent food. I ordered grilled chicken with rice. The rice was aromatic and nicely cooked. The chicken was lovely as well but a bit too high on sodium. I loved the starter bread with the sauces. Outside sitting area was nice. Only downside was the service time. Took like 45 mins for an order of 2 people but I'd say it was worth the wait at the end. Overall a nice Turkish restaurant if you're visiting Oxford.

That was amazing. I ordered Mixed Grill to try different types of meat and all of them are perfect: chicken, lamb shashlik, and kebab. Mmmmm Firstly, I got free appetizers with a nice hot chili sauce, garlic sauce, and olives. Then, I got a huge plate of mixed grilled meat with fries and salad. When I finished it I was completely full and very happy. Also, the staff is ULTRA friendly. I had a nice conversation about the food and ingredients. Eventually, I even got a free black tea with lemon from a staff member. That is totally the best place on Cowley Road

Possibly the friendlies restaurant on the Cowley Road! Wheelchair accessible with a large, steep purpose built ramp. Accessible loo. The building is excellently decorated with a fantastic atmosphere, slide open front with outdoor eating for spring and summer. Gorgeous and varied menu and excellent staff. Will be visiting again.

On entering the warmly lit, delicately ornamented ambiance of this outstanding Turkish restaurant in Oxford, we were immediately immersed in the rich culinary culture of Turkey. We didn't feel like we were dining at a restaurant; instead, we felt like we were part of a bigger family gathering, full of warmth and joy. This quality of service is rare and much appreciated. We heartily recommend this delightful establishment to all lovers of Turkish cuisine and those yearning for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant's exceptional service, combined with its exquisite offerings, ensures that it stands out as a premier destination for food enthusiasts. We eagerly look forward to our next visit!
