We were looking for some Cosy place to have some typical food. Came across this very beautiful corner pub on the main street crossing Oxford.
At first we were told to wait for a while. We chose to go to the other side, the pub side not the restaurant side so to avoid the queue.

Nice enough pub, cozy yet surprisingly spacious. Stopped in on a rainy afternoon after striking out trying to find space at several other pubs (Kings arms, turf tavern) and had a pint and a meal. Food is serviceable but not going to win any rewards (eg burgers are cooked all the way through)
Great place for a drink. Cozy and comfortable pub in the heart of Oxford. Great service, good prices, and wonderful atmosphere. Haven't tried the food, but wouldn't expect to be disappointed.

Went here for Sunday lunch and wasn't disappointed the roast beef was lovely and a good selection of soft drinks. Looking around there was some lovely looking meals like battered fish and scrumy puddings. Our waitress was very good and food was reasonable price
