Nice enough pub, cozy yet surprisingly spacious. Stopped in on a rainy afternoon after striking out trying to find space at several other pubs (Kings arms, turf tavern) and had a pint and a meal. Food is serviceable but not going to win any rewards (eg burgers are cooked all the way through)

Went here for Sunday lunch and wasn't disappointed the roast beef was lovely and a good selection of soft drinks. Looking around there was some lovely looking meals like battered fish and scrumy puddings. Our waitress was very good and food was reasonable price
