The atmosphere is extraordinarily welcoming and clean. This restaurant is obviously loved by its ownership and staff. The menu is quaint and delivers in its promises.
I really enjoyed the ordering method. My table and I chose to eat outside in their garden table area. We took a numbered wooden spoon at their counter and silverware when ordering so they could find where to bring our food.
I ordered house granola with coconut yogurt in place of Greek [highly recommend coconut]. My table also ordered the full English and poached eggs over salmon. Each item was perfectly executed and brought to our table in almost no time at all. This was during an oddly busy weekend in Oxford. The staff were very nice and seemed to smile with every interaction.
My only complaint is my friends and I tried to go again the next morning without checking their hours of operation. They were unfortunately closed!
From London to Bath, my favorite breakfast in the land.
Very good coffee and delicious food. It’s always nice to go places that offer something new and interesting as part of their menu. At Silvie’s they work wonders in their kitchen. Loved the food on our last visit.
I had a lovely dinner in Silvie tonight. I am so glad to see the dinner session has come back! I had Chicken legs with scallions for main, it is very tender and flavourful! And I had the tiramisu as the dessert, it is just fantastic! There is also lovely alcohol to go with the meal. The staff in Silvie are really friendly and sweet. This place just makes me feel at home. I enjoy Rosie the cat’s cuddle and the beautiful garden of course. Me and my friends enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere a lot! I’m going back for dinner again :)
Lovely cafe with delicious baked goods, food and coffee. The food is freshly made and a well considered but small menu. We enjoyed plum toast, and Turkish toast. The Turkish toast had good flavor and texture.
Incredibly cute and homy cafe with lovely staff members and nice garden to sit outside! Smoked salmon with sourdough was incredible and loved that they were using missing beans coffee! The garden outside was very lovely and all staff members were wearing masks which was really great too! Would love to come back again :)!!
Delicious food! We stayed at Browns (the hotel attached to the cafe) so came down for breakfast in the morning. The food was lovely, staff super friendly, and we liked the charm of the place. Weather was good so we sat out in the garden and were greeted by the cat, Rosie, who loved a good fuss. There seemed to be a lot of locals coming to eat here, not just hotel guests. Would definitely come again!
Best brunch spot oxford has to offer! From perfectly cooked full English to pancakes to sour dough and poached eggs it's the dream. And you wont be able to resist their cakes, gorgeous!
Our favourite brunch place. A truly unique place in Oxford, the food and atmosphere delivers every time. Far from 'dialing it in', the food is always unique, inspired, and delicious. Highly recommend grabbing a cinnamon bun as a breakfast 'appetizer'.
Breakfast/brunch is great here. By far one of my favourite places to eat on a Sunday morning, or any morning. They also have fresh baked pastries that are to die for!
Quality food at reasonable prices, service and environment couldn't be better. We will miss this little oasis of peace and laughs in the middle of the city.
