Ihop

The food was pretty good. I haven't eaten at IHOP in years. The crepes were exactly the same, yummy! I didn't give it all 5 stars because it was loud (servers & kitchen staff yelling to each other across the room and just generally cutting up the whole meal) and I think the manager was a little touched... You know- few fries short of a happy meal. The crepes were great though! Probably be another 5 or 6 years before I go back to try them again...

Today we needed a quick breakfast. We chose Ihop because they have crepes. Most people know to not expect the best service at this particular ihop, as it has always been hard for this location to keep help. We believe in giving places chances that are trying ESPECIALLY those who fought to stay open during the pandemic as this palce did. They were one of the only places that we could eat during the pandemic. Johnna was our server today, and SHE is what prompted this 5 star review. She was perfect. I don't mean FAKE and perfect or trying desperately to get a good tip. She was absolutely fabulous, real, attentive, and gave us excellent guidance on our orders. She literally didn't make ONE SINGLE error, and we told her that in our hundreds of thousands of miles of travel, eating at breakfast places that are written about in magazines and have people like Guy Fieri eating there and doing shows on them we have NEVER had a better breakfast server. This place is fighting to keep people in this area fed well (OH, btw, we LOVE the new menu), and they deserve at least a 4.6 or above. Don't let the negative Karen reviews deter you from here, and if you REALLY want an incredible experience, ask for Johnna! Btw, the meal was great and those blueberry crepes!!! You cannot even find a place in the Smokies other than Ihop that even has crepes anymore.

We want to thank a wonderful waitress for taking good care of our large group of boy scouts from Florida(15 of us) that came in on June 12th. We are trying to teach these young boys on money/tipping etc. She was the only one taking care of us. I am unsure of her name, but she had cute dimples. She was amazing. I how she reads this and wants to know we are grateful for the great service.

The food & the service were fine except, the manager tried to upcharge me for something I didn't order saying, it was the closest thing we had. It was the exact thing I ordered just $2 more. Then she tried to make it just $1. It's basically, See how much you can get out of them. Watch your bill. They try to make it seem innocent but, it's no accident when it's always to their favor. I see this everywhere now. Let the buyer beware!

Place was a really big disaster. Had waitresses running crazy. All we was told was they were really short handed. They only has 4 waitress that I could see. What got the placec 5 stars from me was they communicates with us and let us know what we could expect. Our server that night was young thank goodness cause we probably ran her legs off. Communication is always my number 1 factor.
