China Luck

The best Chinese restaurant in the south. I almost had a heart attack when I saw they were closed last Spring, and Google Maps was reporting that they were closed permanently!! Glad to see in a few reviews that they are reopening. Pray that the food doesn’t change, as the hot and sour soup is the best I have had anywhere in the country!! And I have eaten Chinese food all over the USA, from Florida to Maine to New York to Washington to California and everywhere in between!!

I ate the buffet around 12pm and every dish was perfectly seasoned! The black pepper chicken was perfectly peppery, the Kung Pow was banging, the Buddha’s delight was delightful! Who ever runs the kitchen is doing a fantastic job! My only criticism is that the shrimp was slightly over cooked. I definitely recommend this buffet, and at the price of just less than $8 you’re getting a quality meal with service to match!

The food was way below par with a 2* and the service was atrocious with a 1* so I just rounded it up. We didn't get a refill or extra napkins that we wanted since the beginning until we were eating dessert. There was zero level of personality I'm anyone we spoke to. Might be my new least favorite place in town that my wife drags me to. I would highly suggest driving over to Saks and eating at House of Chen instead. Always great service with way better food and I highly suggest the egg rolls there. Prices are crazy cheap there as well. Don't waste your hard earned money gambling at China luck because the deck is stacked against you.

We went for a buffet today. The servers were very rude & busy. They only have 2 bars for food and 1 desert bar. The bars aren't bad the food was just okay I wanted this to be better than the No. 1 China buffet in Anniston, but it's not. I would have had more variety and better food in Anniston for the price, customer service, & food quality.

By far our favorite Chinese restaurant. In 2001 when we were married and didn't have much, we shared our first meal as husband and wife at this restaurant, and 16 years later we still enjoy going. The service is always great and the food is just crazy delicious. Sesame chicken and egg rolls are the best we've ever had.
