Bobby Fritz Snack Bar

We were looking for a light dinner before doing some shopping, so we stopped into Fritz’s, which we were always curious to try. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but I couldn’t help but be a little grossed out when we were handed menus that I watched come directly from another table of people, and they were not disinfected. I wouldn’t usually be bothered by that, but with COVID being as bad as it is right now, I was a little skeeved. The pastrami Reuben and BLT were fine, and the menu was about what you would expect for a snack bar. We did order some fries on the side that looked like they were cooked in old oil, but they tasted okay. Overall, it was average here, and I would probably only come back to try breakfast.

Fritz’s Snack Bar…. A hidden Gem. Born and raised near here but never have been. Wow wrong move!! I had the lobster roll… So delicious, cooked to perfection!! I’ll be back when I come back to town! Heard about their breakfast!! The Eggs Benedict was a perfectly poached eggs on top of a crispy English muffin and ham, topped with a light airy buttery Holland side! Soooo goood!!!

I am always on the lookout for a great "breakfast joint". Fritz's is my go-to joint whenever I'm in the Naugatuck Valley. From crispy home fries to eggs a million ways, this should be a must stop for hungry travelers. The prices are reasonable, the portions appropriate, and the choices numerous. Whether breakfast, lunch, or a snack is what you crave, Fritz's could become your fave! Counter and table seating available. Outdoor seating during the season, and the occasional car show make Fritz's a place out of time. The only thing missing is A&W Root Beer and car hop service!

Good experience, good food, reasonable price. Service was a lite slow. It seemed as 2 wait staff were covering the whole place. I would have asked the 2 staff at the window and resister to assist with the counter area. But still that we're very friendly and the place was packed! So it would seem the all the benefits I mentioned first are seen by many.

This quintessential New England eatery was a breath of fresh air. drove by parking lot full, always a good sign. All tables and booths full we sat at the counter. The first thing I noticed everyone was talking , not looking into their phone, actually having a conversation, this is where the locals go to grab some great home cooked food and catch up on who is doing what... We ordered steak sandwiches and a side of fries. One sandwich on gluten free bread and the other on a hard roll with lettuce, tomato and mayo, split the fries , plenty for both. Staff was very efficient and friendly, which is saying a lot, because this place was jamming. Will definitely be back, and I recommend anyone who drives by, stop in you won't be dissapointed.
