The Oxford Blue

Came for the pizza and stayed for the dogs. Great pub, playlist has been carefully compiled which sets a warm and charismatic vibe. Food menu is varied & excellent, I've not made it past pizzas yet but not surprising when they're priced at just a few pounds more than a pint, beer bellied temptation is hard to resist. Never had a flat beer on the occasions I've been here. Highly recommended. Local punters also friendly and warm. Extra bonus points as this is reviews in January 🙏😂👍

Went today for a Sunday roast. Staff could not have been friendlier and extremely accomodating to dietary needs. Asked for meat to be fully cooked through and instead of just shoving it in oven to dry out they braised it in gravy so it was still tender. Cabbage was top notch, massive roasties and Yorkshire's and overall a massive portion which you cannot fault for £12.50. highly recommended anyone go here for a Sunday roast for a great over all service and food. We've been in Oxford for 4 nights - 2 of those we had dinner here. Just had to come back for seconds! Healthy food couldn't be more delicious... The first night I had one of the specials, peanut stew. And today the salmon fillet, chorizo and succotash. I wanted to take a picture, but after the first bite forgot all about it! So here's my empty plate. The pizza my partner had was gorgeous, as well, and so were the drinks. Beautiful atmosphere inside and in the secret back garden, with covered area and heat lamps - ideal for cool nights and during Covid. Highly recommend the place and will definitely come back!

Tucked away but worth finding. A really nice little pub in a modern rustic style serving good ales and beer. I didn't have a chance to try the food but it looks like good pizza and burger style. The pub is spacious and well laid out with simple functional furnishings. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the quirky signage and decorations add to a pleasant atmosphere.
